Forums - Gaming Discussion - Is Wii U secret developer article clickbait?

I just had a look around at playeressence.

Holy cats ...

I guess it was only a matter of time before the cable news philosophy "tell your audience what they want to hear" caught on with videogame blogging.

The Nintendo faithful need something to fall back on. I guess having a site give misinformation for the sake of keeping their moral up fits the bill.

I agree. Any criticism of Nintendo whatsoever is obviously wrong and immoral. The Wii U was launched perfectly and without incident. Anyone who claims otherwise clearly hates Nintendo.

Oh wait. Calm down.

EA

/end

Hey, not to bother, but could you try that again in a way that makes sense?

Uh.

/end?  Over and out?  I dunno.

Yes and No. Probably maybe, of course

Honestly, I doubt it. Eurogamer have enough sources and meet enough developers in the course of just doing their jobs (interviews, trade shows etc.) that they could easily find a dev to talk with them.

The article itself looks like you would expect from someone talking about their personal experiences. The stuff in the OP reads more like speculation (which it is).

The article is not from playerescence, it was forwarded from another website but nice try there. They are debunking parts of the article that does not make sense. Did you even read/ understand the article?

LOL! Yup.

Pure damage control and nothing more. The dude constantly defends and makes excuses and has a hidden agenda. Nothing else to see here.

I should know, I once was a regular for that site.

The article looked and read fine to me, the title wasn't sensationalize and the text weren't hyperbolic. Sure, it's mainly one person's account, but atleast it gives us some perspective how what it was like as an early developer on WiiU

Did you even read/understand my post?  I didn't reference the article at all.

I think the article wasn't fake. I have no way to be certain though, this being the internet and all that.

I was talking about the site in general not the article.  Debunking parts how, by hearsay? LOLLL OK.

PlayerEssence, as in the guy who is completely in love with John Lucas and interviewed him on the "UNITY" stance on youtube? If there ever was a clear agenda, this guy has it.
This is kind of like arguing creationism by linking creationist sites as your source; not very credible.
