I agree. Any criticism of Nintendo whatsoever is obviously wrong and immoral. The Wii U was launched perfectly and without incident. Anyone who claims otherwise clearly hates Nintendo.

also, its very logical for developers that are working on a platform to go out and say all the faults and flaws in that platform. PR and marketing is nothing to take into consideration. if their was infact any problem while developing games for the WiiU, devs on the WiiU would always share those problems.

I’m not buying it. The Criterion dev specifically says that looking at the clock speed alone on two very different chips is like comparing apples to oranges….while the anonymous dev leans HEAVILY on the clock speed as the reason it “sucks.” <-------- This right here makes the most sense to me. You cant compare CPU performance by clock speed on two different architecture its pointless. More so CPU are more advanced than they were 7 years ago that they can do a hell of a lot more with less power. Whats also funny is I was on this very same website claiming the exact same thing when the majority here was trolling. When it was revealed the PS4 CPU was just two tablet APU's smashed together and customized for lower clock speed also (just like Wii U) the trolling magically stopped for some weird reason.

Because that was exactly what he said and argued.

I'm sure you read the article and not just the title to get a drive-by comment.

The original article barely mentioned clock speed of the CPU. When it does, yes, he says its relatively low but also admits they couldn't take full advantage of the extra features as well as stating certain code greatly benefited from the the higher IPC ("4x boost" were the exact words... guess that boost is the same as suck?!).

Seriously, you can question an article, but all you have is speculation from a source of questionable bias versus a relatively reputable industry site.

I wouldnt call a site reputable when they cant even name their source. This site is not even reputable as i stated in my above post numerous of its members are clearly bias. The way i see it the article is questioning a speculative article with a speculative article......is that not fair?

Of course it is. Anyone with a modicum of common sense realizes that whoever that was, their complaints stemmed from a pre-launch build of the Wii U development software. If it was really such a problem, you'd hear a LOT of developers commenting on it, yet you haven't really heard a peep, have you? Especially from indie developers, who would be likely to HAVE the most issues with such a "difficult platform to develop for", yet the list of indie developers making games for eShop continues to grow.

But, you know, the internet loves articles like this. Nintendoom sells, because a lot of nerds want to believe Nintendo will go under so "their company can win". It's fanboyism at it's best/worst.

The Eurogamer article is in-line with what some developers have already come out and said as well as being in-line with the more general analyses of the hardware crowd. The article, if you read it, has a fair share of positive and negative points. The reason people think it's all negative is because some of the negative points are truly surprising with a company of Nintendo's stature and because negative news gets hits.

The article you posted is literally a guessing game of "guess the dev" with nothing to support it. The comment about CPU clocks is completely off-base because in the original article the developer barely talks about the CPU clockspeed and raises both positives and negatives concerning it.

Anything with WiiU in the title is clickbait. The console is more controversial than Mylie Cyrus.
