MS is already holding words because (I guess) they know they lost NPD December... so PS4 sold more than Xbone in US... the demand is bigger for PS4 in US.

And VGC actual week sales is based in the ideia Xbone is doing strong in US but it is losing to PS4... just look at the Amazon chartz... PS4 is destroying Xbone there... if PS4 won NPD December then I'm sure they will won NPD January too.

This trend will change in March with Titanfall... that will be the first NPD in Xbone favor.

It would be "destroying" the X1 if the PS4 was constantly in stock at Amazon, which isn't the case. 

VGChartz is show a 50k lead for XOne... Would if matter if NPD show a 50K PS4 lead??

Stop giving Amazon bast seller chart uber importance. It´s just one of many retailers, and it´s the only place online north amricans can find a PS4, everywhere else they can buy a XOne. Plus, Amazon counts its pre-orders as sales for bestseller chats, and most of the last 2 weeks sales are for 16th preorder.

The demand for any consoles is stalling this January, PS4 is not to repeat Wii case. There are no games worth playing, and no killer feature.

Sales will drop to all consoles but PS4 is dropping fast because it was higher last month and there is less supply, eventhough Europe seems to be fixed.

That is your biggest mistake... PS4 sales is not dropping... it is doing amazing for January and it will maintain or increase these sales until March.

And yes... for US only a 50k difference shows that PS4 is winning almost every week in US... way different from what you see in VGC right now.

BTW do you see that all your analysts about PS4/Xbone sales are being proved wrong? Everything you say is happening otherwise.

I agree about PS4 isn't repeating the Wii case because is tracking way PS4 ahead Wii already... PS4 > Wii in terms of success right now.

If sales for PS4 are not droping and is doing a amazing January, so the hatefull XOne that is doing exactly the same passe.

The numbers are showing my evidences... yours? Well Xbone is starting to get weak sales because the demand is not that high.

VGChartz shows sales ratio haven´t chance since Christmass. XOne sales fell the same as PS4s. 

There is no people inline outside every store in the world waiting for a PS4, the demand has fallen. People will wait for next games to launch or a price drop, a bundle or what ever. The shortages in NA are not for high demand, but for low supply.

You have been denaing the reality for two months. 

AFAIK Sony never said it was 4.2 million to consumers. Unless they say "sold to consumers" then sold means shipped, and even in this environment of tight supply there is no way 4.2 million shipped on X date = 4.2 million in consumer hands on X date. There is always product in the retail channel. So if anything I think 4.1 is possibly a tad on the high side, given 100K distributed across 53 markets is a very small number indeed. If someone has Sony saying 4.2 million sold to consumers then it's a different story. However in terms of VGC USA vs actual, even if 4.2 million globally is correct how much of that alleged missing 100K is USA? Boils down to VGC and NPD having at most a 100K discrepancy, and probably less, which in the month of December amounts to about 12% of total sales. Given NPD isn't 100% accurate (but likely more accurate than VGC) a 12% difference between VGC and NPD for PS4 is not even worth a second thought. I'll worry about VGC being out when the difference is over 20%.

So for Xb one to be considerably lower than PS4 in the USA, NPD sales for Xb one will have to be a lot lower than VGC, there just isn't room to move for PS4. Actually PS4 supply problems makes VGC's PS4 job quite easy. The harder job is Xb one because it is less supply constrained. I can believe that VGC could be significantly over-estimating Xb one sales, after all VGC does have off months with the USA for every platform from time to time. And I expect launch year December is a hard one to estimate unless there is strong evidence of widespread supply constraints (like PS4). But VGC could have underestimated Xb one sales too. We'll see I guess.

A 50K difference either way is meaningless. If you're going to make a song and dance about 50K in December then you are way too emotionally invested in this thing.

What? 50k difference means PS4 is selling more than Xbone in US... a complete different situation that is showed here.
