well if someday PSP do this, call me. And using your logic PS3 was not powerhouse enough

I have to say I chuckled a bit at the attempts to derail this thread into a comparison thread between the final sales of the Ps2 and the midlife sales of the 3ds family of systems, now that is someone really just digging to argue about something.

But yeah regarding the actual OP that is amazing for a system which for the first year of its life was rained with more doom threads than the 21st of December 2012 :D Happy I was responsible for 2 of these sales 3DS then upgraded to an XL between the XL, pspgo and Vita I now play more portably than I do on the home systems, first generation that's ever been the case.

The two PS consoles that HAVE reached 100 million haven't been powerhouses for a while, nearing 10 years. Currently the best-selling console on the market is the 3DS, and that makes it the top dog.

What did you want him to say, "The 3DS is selling well right now, but man, dat PS1 fifteen years ago, amirite?"

The PS3 is at 83M so no doubt going to pass the 100M mark over time. But at least you acknowledge that the PS3 is a powerhouse.

No I'm not. PS3 did not sell 100mil+ and by your logic is not powerhouse.

But...does anyone feel that it's not a very good hardware devise?I mean my 3ds xl is not the most comfy machine to play on and the sound is not that good as well.Just one analog stick and it feels like it's prone to damage.
I would have gotten a 2ds if it wasn't for the pokemon special edition 3ds xl.Although I have to admit that the large screens are Veeeery important.

He is pointing out that according to you the only 3 systems which are powerhouses are the Psone the Ps2 and the original DS. I fear that if we only discussed those consoles new games and sales figures then VGchartz definately wouldn't be as active as it is today... well except the ds games, those things still sell like hotcakes. Powerhouses tho would be a stretch given that all 3 "powerhouses" combined would have a cpu power of 432mhz and over 37mb of ram!

But yeah gonna be my last post regarding 15 year old consoles and I apologize to the OP for the additions I've done to this derailing, hopefully can get back on track at praising the current Powerhouse of gaming.

I'm actually really impressed hardware wise with the 3ds, when you look at the graphically amazing games on it like the ps360 version of Super Street fighter 4 ported to it only at the cost of background animations and the likes of Dead or alive:dimensions, Resident Evil:Revalations and Monster Hunter tri ultimate on it.... those games are breatakingly beautiful for a handheld system. For a current gen handheld to have a near perfect port of a ps3/360 game... can't ask for much more in the power department. Just going to admit right out here, that there is a load of companies who can't be bothered to put in the effort to get these sort of graphical results from the 3ds and there is a good few games which do not look as good as they could do but that is just down to the developers.
