I'm the only that thinks Wii U will finish second? At least until the new Nintendo console to be released... after that it can lost the second place.

MS is to proud to settle for 3rd palce, they will spend their way to a respectable 2nd place while Ninty seems content with reliving the 6th gen.

Then why are they ending the 7th gen in third place?

past is that, and growing pains.

X to 360 was serious growth, they wont settle for being beat by nin now.  To take 3rd now would be going backwards.

I don't get why people think Microsoft has some power other console companies don't. If the XBONE is doing bad, they're much more likely to sell off the division than pour billions into trying to save it.

$ is power, $ they got more of.

Red ring disater was reason enough to drop that division and write it of and leave it for the history books, yet they chose to spend billions and kept going.  Sony makes awesome games, MS buy awseome games casue they can.

Ah so MS are god and can do whnat they want?? it's not what MS wants it's what the market wants, if it were that easy MS with all their money would be dominating Sony, but alas. Even with Sony being at their worst, and struggling, Playstation is stronger then ever.

Dont get your panties in a bunch buddy.  MS faks up but they also have the $ to fix their fak ups, dont underestimate their ability to spend their way out of issues and to success.  360 was an utter disaster, yet they spent enough to make it a 80millin selling success.

Much of that success was sony incompetence nd being late to market....and again I repeat:

Its the same reason zune, windows phone and other ms ventures have nmot exactly lit the world up, MS is no diff then any other company at the mercy of the market.

Xbox One america sales >> Wii U total sales by the end of 2014

You can't possibly be serious.

Dead serious. Wii U wont reach 10 million next year while the xbox one will do more than that in North America

Nintendo has one major problem with the Wii U: Misalignment

Misalignment of three obvious factors:

1. Marketing

Only this holiday are customers getting a clue that there's a new Nintendo console out. A year late :(.

2. Software

For some idotic reason, the Wii U is having its "normal" 1ste year software a year later. It's baffling to see and we can only guess at the reasons, but here we are :(.

3. Hardware

The hardware is good enough for the job. Cheap enough for a mass market and just strong enough for some 3rd party support.
It would be good enough if the software and marketing was there to push it :(.

The important thing now, is that this misalignment seems to be fixing itself this year. In short Nintendo is getting its sh*t together.

If they can really pull it together, i wouldn't be surprised they could win this generation.

Third party games, big ones are coming to ps4, not wii-u, this year it has zero chance. It's too late for wii-u. I like nintendo BTW, them and sony I do respect when it comes to gaming but Nintendo is a bit lost.
