Whether what that one dude from MS said is marketing propoganda or not remains to be seen. As DF and others pointed out after he said it, most people simply don't have the Internet connection to make use of it right now. So why launch window games would take advantage of it entirely, is beyond me. Luckily, console generations last years and years.
Regarding AI, the AI is not meant to emulate other players, that's why they don't "fill the lobby if not enough players". They are an integral part of the games mechanics, whether there are 4 humans on the server or a full 12.
MS supposedly paying for Respawn to nerf the PC version is just adorable, especially since you just spoke of propoganda.
Regarding the bolded, how is it to see it turned into servers? Awesome? What else could we want as gamers? As long as the servers do their job, that's great. If they are only as good as what EA uses, then its a waste of time and money. Of course, Forza 5 shows us they work pretty damn well.
In brief: a distributed network of game servers (*), with very flexible and scalable load balancing, rented to game devs and publishers at cheap and flexible pricing (thanks to reduced cost of HW and bandwidth compared to earlier periods of distributed computing, with the added savings derived from large economies of scale for the provider).
(*) in the widest meaning possible, including also storage, application and compute servers
This is Rocket Science stuff right there! Vapour Cloudware

@ 1st Bolded: I definitely will say that the 4X was PR all the way because no implementation exist of the cloud compute concept just yet. I also will state that MS has spent the money and time to build a system for cloud compute called Orleans to realize this vision. Its up to MS to provide the games that show cloud compute doing things that cannot be done currently but at least they have something built so who knows what we might see in the future.
@ 2nd Bolded: I believe you have not researched Titanfall properly. It's suppose to have a singleplayer component within a MP only body. Basically think of Titanfall as a MMO thats not persistant. You play missions and the AI have their goals and task, give you orders and other stuff. The are NPCs in your MP game.
@3rd Bolded: You do know that MS stated that dedicated servers are free for developers who make games for the X1, so I believe that know and condone those servers for MP. Actually the Titanfall developer pretty much stated that. I believe the problem you present is one most gamers have, patience. One thing is clear is that MS is bring their Azure cloud platform to the Xbox. This is not just isolated to dedicated servers for MP. This will be dedicated resources that are persistent for all type of content. There are a lot of things that can be calculated within the cloud that can free up your console to do other things, it can also make the game you play more dynamic.
The thing is, that by MS making dedicated servers free and making hosting affordable to all developers not just the big guys, allow any developer using the X1 platform to expand upon what they can do with their games. Most of the cloud stuff MS is bringing isn't directly revelant to gamers but its a huge plus for developers. With those resources, developers should be able to bring a better experience for you the gamer. Its not something that will be immediately apparent since it take developer support but in a few years it could be something that is taken advantage where we will see a new experience. Anyway the Gen just started to be patience.

You sincerely don't remember how the Cloud is used as excuse and secret sauce?? Or about some members that ASSURED us that Titanfall can't be run on PS4 because it doesn't have cloud.
The use of assure, the money hating (don't mind the word), having cheaper service and freeing them from the hasle is all welcome in my book... I don't care for Titanfall because it's a shooter, but It's a company right to try and have content (about situations were it's bad a lot of discussion is made about it and I won't enter on it).
My great issue isn't with even MS using the buzzword (they need to market it), its fanboyism using the propaganda to prove a console superior to another when nothing is proved... and even seing the interviews of TT and RS about the limitations some users still believe it will help.

There is fanboyism on both sides. Just look at the comments in this thread as an example of people making fun of cloud servers. Do you think fanboyism doesnt play a part in that?
The truth is fanboys say a lot of stupid shit. This is for sony, MSFT, and Nintendo fanboys.
If everything was the same with titanfall now but instead it was for sony the same people talking shit wouldnt be, and the same people defending would be attacking.
If it was multiplat nobody would care and everybody would just enjoy the game. These are the sad truths that youre going to find on the internet.
As for the secret sauce thing ive actually seen more sony members bring that up than MSFT members. There may have been a few members on this site who believed it but it wasnt many. There really isnt all that many MSFT fans on this site anyways.

You answer your own question... Obviously it was PR, if its not possible right now but announced as it would and you will pretend that MS userbase don't say it regularly.
I understand they are part of the mechanic, just think its useless on a MP game, but after JayWood explanation, if the people playing the game like it I don't mind.
MS is already paying Respaw for the exclusivity, wouldn't be too bright to have it being better (not talking about small details like resolution) more players, better texture, better frame rate, etc... or if Xbone version isn't really bellow PC would you think its normal or that Xbone is stronger HW than the PC?
So MS fanbase now think MS invested 3Billion on it to have dedicated servers for Xbone??? Because some say as if Azure were designed to Xbone. I have no problem with it being a server host cluster, I don't play MP but can understand the value for people who use it. Just think the expectations of some were really high.

1 - we both agree... after we see some aplication better than Playstation Now or Orleans (which is totally streamed, here we are talking sending part, what would be a lot harder)... If we had enough speed on internet PS4 and Xbone games could be totaly streamed, but to send and receive calculations some heavy study would be necessary to work in real time. Probably will happen for the next gen.
2- Thanks for the explanation, and together with Jay one I shows the utility, we will need to see it working to see how good it is.
3- I have no problem with MS server side (and sure part of that money were invested thinking about it), what I despise is the spin used to make it be more than it is right now... If it helps the devs it would be fantastic.

Agree with almost everything so won't point much on it.
But I will just say that I wouldn't care for the game even on PS as I didn't for MAG. But saying about general userbase yep... In other thread I was saying that some Xbox fans ignore Destiny because its multiplat now (and threat bungie as traitors) and some PS fans say it will be a lot better than Titanfal because of exclusive content... it is silly, and won't play any of them, but will sure check titanfall on my friend's house just because I like mechas.
