I couldn't play T games until I was 12, but then my parents let me get Halo for LAN parties at 13. It was weird.

Lol, my dad bought me Mortal Kombat for the nes when I was like 5.

I think I was 4 or 5 and it was Max Payne. That shit was amazing. And I remember that one boss guy that creeped me out that screamed "THE FLESH OF FALLEN ANGELS!" Took a couple days for me to man up and kill him lol

The first one I played was probably mortal kombat 2 at my cousins house when I was either 5 or 6.

Is Conker Rated M?? I played that when I was 6... with the sound down =P

I don't know, but maybe five or six and something on the NES.  Might have been Castlevania, Mega Man, The Legend of Zelda, Contra, The Magic of Scheherazade, etc.  There were no ratings on video games then.
