I've generelly hated racing games other than Mariokart and Diddykong racing. Can someone explain to me the unique features of this game that make it different from Need for Speed, GT, or the other big car based games?

No different from GT.

But there is no GT or Forza on nintendo consoles. Thats the only difference.

I'm not a racing sim fan at all, but from the screens alone it's clear they put a lot of effort in this game. Always nice to see :).

Regardless, DriveClub will probably demolish this version of the game. ;)

What is driveclub????

its a game on ps4 designed for men who can't afford sick cars and can't afford to join real car clubs (like myself lol). You basically drive around look at the pretty scenary. Oh and race offcourse lol.

I have hopes for this game but does anyone think racers might get saturated soon?

There has been a lot of racing games in the past two years. Maybe it will be, but FPS have been made like crazy over the past generation, so I wouldn't worry over it.

The Wii U can smoothly handle this game. As you know the PS4 and XBOX One have a 8-core x86 CPU code named ‘Jaguar.’ They also have 8GB of system RAM. It is said that the PS4 GPU is either a 7870 or a 7850 and the XBOX1 GPU is a 7850. x86 architecture uses what is called CISC or (Complex Instruction Set Computing.) This allows for the hardware to do the majority of the work and gives developers most of the power available right away.

The Wii U has 3 CPUs. A custom tri-core PowerPC750 built to run like a Power7 code named ‘Expresso.’ It also has a dual-core input/output ARM processor and a dedicated sound CPU. So altogether the Wii U has 6 available physical cores. PowerPC runs on what is called RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computing.) This approach uses a much smaller memory footprint and has much faster communication. For those who are lazy this is kryptonite, but for those that are ambitious and talented this is a dream because it allows for better performance with very low power consumption. Once you actually take the time to figure out the architecture and make a engine making games will be just as easy as making them on the PS4 and XBOX1, but with better results.

No only that, but PowerPC technology is more efficient than x86. One core of a PowerPC is worth 2 cores of an x86 So to put that in perspective. If you look at the fact that the Wii U has 3 CPUs with 6 cores between them that would be an equivalent to 12 cores of an x86.

I don't know if all that is true, but it sure sounds good! :)

"Games are a trigger for adults to again become primitive, primal, as a way of thinking and remembering. An adult is a child who has more ethics and morals, that's all. When I am a child, creating, I am not creating a game. I am in the game. The game is not for children, it is for me. It is for an adult who still has a character of a child."

In one your racing people legally on legal tracks, in the other your racing people illegally on illegal tracks. Yea I know there is a story difference but ultimately it's all centered around racing each other. I guess I'm addicted to the charm of Mariokart and all the ridiculous items you can chuck at people that doing normal racing games just doesn't make me excited.

I remember seeing screens between Wii U and PC on Gonintendo a while back. Or at least i read they were Wii U screens.
