Just seeing if this build would play everything on Ultra with good FPS

Would this be a pretty awesome set up?

Budget is around $2000

It's a pretty money burning setup. You can achieve the same with maybe 10% less power but half the price.
Also I think building a new PC without an SSD is a crime punished by federal law in many countries.
Where's the power supply and what case?

What vivster said. If you are going for gaming only, then your current CPU is overkill. Also the savings can allow you to get an SSD for OS and applications installs (everything will be much snappier).

Also, though it seems to differ among different people, I'd say the AMD R9 290x gives better value for $100+ less (It's weaker, but not a big difference; i.e. BF4 @ Ultra is 4 fps less on average).

Edit: Forgot to add AMD has Mantle, and recent BF4 presentation showed promising results.

Also it may benefit in the future with AMDs Mantle which might give a significant performance boost on several games.
I'm an nVidia fanboy myself but I can't help but look with envy to what AMD ha to offer at the moment.

As for the CPU you should go with the Xeon E3-1230 v3. It's at about 99% of the power of a 4960x but 4 times cheaper.
For an SSD you can't go wrong with a Samsung 840 Pro 256GB. You should install your games on it as well.

Would have rather choose Asus than evga cause their coolers are better imo and has superior overclocking and powerphase design... Their warranty is only 3 year though vs evga's lifetime which is the only advantage for evga imo

I'm not sure you would necessarily need 16 gigs of ram for gaming, so you could save a little cash and get 2x4 gig cards. You could use the cash that you saved on ram to get yourself an SSD cache, and (if you're willing to do so) wait a few weeks to see what Nvidia's 800 series brings, but at it's current state, that build should play everthing butter-smooth. Hope this helped!

You could spend a lot less on the CPU and GPU and still run everything on Ultra. And also 8GB of RAM instead of 16GB.

I highly recommend an SSD though.

Beat me by two minutes, I was going to say almost the same things about the CPU and the GPU (I'd go with the 7990 though for the price).

To make a max out PC I would do the following...

Change the platform to Haswell 1150 instead of X79 and the CPU to 4770k. There is absolutely no difference in gaming between 4770k and 4930k with a single or even dual GPU.

Also get a 128 GB SSD as the boot drive and a 512 GB X 2 in RAID0 SSD for storage. Ditch the mechanical drive. You wanna play games or wait for them to load?

Also get 2X8 GB of ram VS 4X4 GB.

Strong power supply would be ideal to go SLI with another 780Ti in a year or two.

Rest of it is good.

Get a ballin' case with a window, clean cable management...beautiful.
