The 780ti is actually better than the Titan when gaming is concerned. I understand your commitment to nVidia bu at least wait for the first benchmarks on AMD's mantle. You might change your mind in an instant when a 290x which is half as expensive as a 780ti outperforms it by a margin.

16GB of RAM is fine. You can't have enough of that stuff. As I said the monster CPU is just about 0.5% faster than a 4770k. Nothing future proof there unless the game devs start optimizing on more cores than 8 which they won't do. They barely manage 4 if even.

1000W is absolute overkill. You will need that if you plan to have a 780ti in triple SLI. Current GPUs have come a long way and today even a high end setup as this will peak at 400W. Just an example: A PC with an overclocked 4770k and 290x (which is notoriously more power hungry than everything nvidia has) draws as much as 450W at gaming peak.

I'm recommending a PSU around 650W to get the best efficiency. Also don't skimp out on the model. Choose a bequiet with high efficiency. Something like an E9 Straight Power 600W. Unless you want SLI. then you can slap another 200W on there.

But I would never recommend SLI or CF to anyone.

So the main problen with my build is just go with the 4770k i7? Would save me quite a bit I guess.

So instead of 1000w how about a 700w? Dont really wanna go lower than that as the 800 series will likely draw more power when they release.

Seems you are uninformed my friend. Since last generation the GPU drivers are optmized for temperature. They will throttle at a set temperature. A liquid cooler can keep a chip a lot cooler than air ventilation so it will reach the power cap later and will therefore be faster. Not much but it will.

Go with the 4770k if you really want to overclock. If not then go with the Xeon E3-1230v3. Same power but cheaper and easier to cool.

 The bold part I don't understand. Your system without overclock and with just one GPU will need about 400W at peak. PSUs are more efficient with higher usage. If you go too high it will need unnesassary amounts of energy in less taxing scenarios.

Also was thinking the Corsair Carbide Air 540 for the case. Would that be suitable for this build

I feel the money for your overkill of a machine would be better spent over the years in upgrades instead.

Yeah i know this is absolute over kill but Im partially building this to take lots of extreme quality screenshots for the neogaf thread.

Money isnt too big an issue just making sure Im not buying any stupid parts

Looks big enough. But I have no experience with assembling liquid cooling so I don't know how big the radiator will be and how much room it needs overall.
in the end the case choice is up to the opinion of the buyer. If it has all the features you want and can house the hardware no one can say anything against it.

What resolution? 1080p, 2k, 4k? If it's 1080p, it's massive overkill. You can build a core i5 with gtx770 for a $1000, and your screenshots will look exactly the same as your build.

Ive built a few custom water cooled loop PCs with as much as 3 way SLI so I know the benefits especially with GPU boost 2.0.

I'm just saying, to set up a custom loop watercooling and overvolt gpus you really cant be asking questions like "Is this a good gaming PC guys?"

I guess one could order a prebuilt pc from Origin or Digital Storm that has watercooling fully set up.
