Wii U sold pretty well during the holidays. Doesn't matter if it didn't do better than PS4.
Wow, talk about hitting rock bottom
They need more Mario games on the Wii U. This whole thread is completely incorrect.

Play.com is a web store, that is for resellers only they have no retail presence or even sell there own products at all, so who cared about there opinion they didnt even buy any Wii U or PS4 or Xbox Console Stock anyway.
There basically Ebay
Honestly, that article seems awfully sensational. At the very least, they did a poor job of picking quotes, as what was said by the play.com representative did not match the paraphrasing.

They secretly, were trolling.
Already posted a month ago and that was my answer:
1. Play.com is a British website. We all know how the WiiU is doing there. A 75% increase isn't enough to make any meaningful difference.
2. Rakuten, the "new" owner of the site is a Japanese company. Of course their own social media analysis shows that WiiU is wanted more this Christmas than PS4 and Xbox One, because they aren't even releasing this year (2013) in Japan.
