I think Wind Waker, Minish Cap, Twilight Princess, Spirit Tracks, Skyward Sword, and A Link Between Worlds are better than Majora's Mask.

Amen. I just get so damn tired to redoing things, its really tedious. Time management is also stressful and doesn't allow you freedom to explore. |
you guys are horrible at the game if you have to redo things. The weapons and temple masks stay with you going back in time

I personally enjoyed Skyward Sword, Wind Waker, and Ocarina of Time a lot more than Twilight Princess and Majora's Mask. Neither of them were bad by any means (no mainline Zelda is, despite internet hyperbole), but Zelda, to me, is really characterized by its bright color pallette. It really helps bring the world to life, and is able to convey a much wider range of emotion. I think the three I favor all bring that out much better than TP and MM did. Part of the reason I loved the Shadow Temple and Earth Temple so much was because of how much it contrasted with the rest of the game. The Ancient Cistern is probably my favorite Zelda dungeon (or close to it) for this exact same reason.
Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but everytime I hear another "hardcore" gamer demand a dark, gritty Zelda, all I can do is sigh loudly. When I played Twilight Princess, I found the characters to be absolutely hideous (seriously, what is this thing: http://static2.minitokyo.net/view/34/21/361084.jpg ), and the overall world seemed so empty. I suppose this type of game is the key to bringing in different fan groups, and I'm sure the Zelda team will make a top-notch game either way, but it's really not a style I can get truly excited about.

MM is up there with WW for my favorite Zelda game, and I honestly have a tough time picking between the two. Majora's Mask's control scheme has aged terribly, but Wind Waker has that bull crap fetch quest at the end.
Wind Waker was still really good, so I'd disagree with saying that none are acceptable. Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword were pretty subpar, though, and neither of the DS games were exactly up to standards for me either.

not really. It's been a while since I've played it. Okay maybe you have to give the witch a potion to open up her shop and stuff like that but at no point do you have to redo dungens or anything like that.

The fact that you have to go back in time at all is game-ruiningly tedious and annoying.

Being a novel idea doesn't make it genius. If it actually worked well in practice it would be genius, but it doesn't. It's tiresome.
