Vita wouldnt be bad if the US sales werent so weak.
SCEA... this is your fault... You are killing the Vita.

UK is the same. FPS are very popular in UK. And Sony doesnt have UK by any length of a landslide. Titanfall will tilt it back to Microsoft. Yes, PS4 is lacking on killer apps. At least till The Order 1886 hits. Driveclub will bomb hard and meta around 60. While Titnafall metas around 95. Hey its my opinion. But I think I'll be right. And 2016 will be hard for many to swallow when Cloud processing really takes off. |

While Titanfall looks cool and all, I don't see how anybody thinks it will be the hottest shit ever, especially with no single player at all (and I think it has a huge potential for a great SP). Honestly I think Watch Dogs, Infamous Second Son or The Witness will get higher scores than Titanfall

And in US Xbox One is regularly outselling PS4 each week. Apart from only 1 week. I was lead to believe Xbox One demand was lower. Xbox should get a nice boost when it releases in the 35 or so countries which only has PS4 at the moment. |
Eh, wait until the Holidays are well and truely done. When we know that pent up demand has been met and one or both arent struggling to keep up with said demand. Right now the hardware sales dont really matter. Theyre selling what theyre producing. Look at the Wii U launch and how well it was seemingly doing, right up until we hit January and it tanked hard.
That said, even tying with Xbox One in America will be seen as a pretty big win for Sony after the bloodbath that was 360 vs PS3 there. Going by VGChartz numbers they currently hold a ~200k lead in the main Xbox stronghold. Sony will be more than happy with that while the rest of the world is choosing PS4.
Almost two thirds of the Xbox One sales are coming from the US alone. When the holiday season is no more and we start to see the huge drops, the rest of the world simply arent going to be buying Xbox One in any meaningful number. Its already posting relatively poor numbers outside of the US. I think its gonna be quite similar to what we saw with Wii U sales wise up until Titanfall, where it will see a modest boost.
And talking about countries yet to have a release, lets not forget what PS4 has in February shall we?

US I expect Microsoft to be comfortable come Xmas 2014. UK is the same. FPS are very popular in UK. And Sony doesnt have UK by any length of a landslide. Titanfall will tilt it back to Microsoft. Im gonna give you another eh here.
Titanfall is releasing on 2 other platforms. One of these platforms has a dedicated, FPS loving userbase of over 80 Million and the other platform is the PC. Titanfall is gonna give the One a nice boost and all that, but its not gonna be anything like Gears of War.
Do you remember the Gears hype? It was touted as the first real "next gen" game on everything. It released on Xbox 360 at a time when PS3 wasnt even released in the West. It had NO next gen competition at all and it blew everything away that came before it. It was an actual Xbox 360 exclusive, not a multiplat and the 360 was at the time, the market leader of the 7th generation. When the PS3 released a week later, Gears of War blew away EVERYTHING on PS3 for the next 12 Months or so. This isnt gonna happen with Titanfall and PS4 because the PS4 has so many advantages that the PS3 didnt back then.
Halo will give the One the boost it needs, I just really think people are overestimating the impact of Titanfall.

If Titanfall does really well on the 360, I would expect Microsoft to go after exclusive rights on the sequel as well (be it full, or timed release). After all, that's what they do is throw money at things...
At that point, people looking for the next installment will have to move to ONE (or PC).
Good Holidays all around. From here on, sales will get lower each week. It was entertaining though, a nice launch for both X1 and PS4 and even Wii U got in on the action for a little bit there. Now that the impulse holiday shopper is back in his home it's time to get back to reality.
Which means sub 100k weekly for Wii U/Vita. (What I am thinking...sub 50k I mean) 3DS will be number 1 on the chartz due to low price tag. PS3 and X360 will be lower but will stand the test of time as they refuse to die. PS4 will be the # 1 selling home console due to cheaper price, higher demand and hype for future. Xbone will sag behind it like Fat Bastards arm skin when he went on the subway diet. Better get your $100 gift cards/Lap top Xbox give aways/ ban 1 million consoles/warranty replacements ready Microsoft, your going to need it this year.

Mostly agree, but MS are shipping way more than they're actually selling, especially in europe. My local retailer has probably enough X1s to last them over a month already (≈30), including one Day One edition console, meanwhile even the Wii U is sold out (though that's probably cause they didn't order many).

No it's doing terrible. That's why the PS4 is sold out everywhere.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
