There are too many threads on when will ps4xbox pass wii u its just plain stupid! I think its time to predict when the launch hype stops when all the hardcore have bought there brand of choice and sales slow down on the new systems. The hardcore crowd is not as big as most of the users here would like to belive and there is not a whole lot of games on the new console to convenience the average gamer to jump in.I think will see a drop faster than what most people would like outside of japans launch I think it dies down in late jan. early feb. Most games are on old and new consoles the average gamer has no big reason to buy a new console if cod or titanfall bf4 or madden are still on the old.PS3 had a big launch because of the hardcore fans and than it slowed considerable same with wii u so dont act like its not possible!  

Xbox One american sales>> Wii U total sales by the end of next year.

I wasn't talking about who will outsell what but rather when will the hardcore have bought all they can and the sales go down!

5 or 6 years? Look at PS360 cycle. 360 was up in the US for like 6 years in a row or something.

Well the hype for X1 is gone already(if there ever was one). Playstation hype will be gone as soon as all preorders have been fulfilled and anybody can have one.

 Though I don't see how this matters.Of course sales will go down jan-feb. But unlike certain other consoles PS4/X1 will have a constant stream of great games that will draw new people for at least the next 1-2 years.
It's only important how well they perform on peaks and how many peaks they will have. And I'm seeing a lot of peaks in the coming months and years.

Even when the hype will be over, PS4 and XB1 will still make good sales.

week of january first the ps4/X1 will start selling 20k weekly, is that the answer you were looking for OP?
