That's suggesting the Wii-U will die. Which it won't. With smash bros and other games on the horizon it would a lot of delusion and fanboyism to suggest otherwise. The Wii-U will soon thrive. Even if the WIi-U only sells 30 million units Mario will do around 6 million at its current attatch rate. Are you suggesting Knack can even touch 2 million?

Yeah.  It's based on a manga series.  I think it's a graphic novel sort of thing?  And, it outsold Halo 4 in Japan.

I mean hype as in promotion. Its a game Sony made sure fans were aware of and it was their game of choice on Jimmy Fallon.

Knack showed PS4 was easy to develop for? They should have worked harder.

Ah but now you are changing the definition of what you wrote. The guy replied to your term "Hype", this is not the same as promotion as you well know, of course Sony are going to promote their launch titles, just like MS and Nintendo did... this did not turn into much Hype for the game, in fact it was pretty low key. It seemed to me that there was way more hype for Watch Dogs than any Sony title.

As for Knack, I'm not buying it at £49 or whatever it is, it seems like a £20-29 game at most, and I think it would have sold better had it been priced as such and I think that's why it's sales have been stunted. Of course if it had sold at a lower price and sold more, than of course there would have been another argument about how one game brought in more revenue or some crap. This is unfortunately what gaming forums are like.

As for Knack/Super Mario.. really who cares. SM3D can sell lots more, but if the wii-u console continues to do dire, then all it suggests is that the user base is just buying up Nintendo games, and let's be honest *this* is the problem for nintendo and has been a problem for some time and why 3rd parties will continue to not support it... which in the end will mean that the wii-u will have trouble getting over 40 million consoles lifetime. Which may or may not be a problem depending on your point of view.

I tried Knack at a PS4 stand in a shopping mall the other day and damn, it was so bad that I went back to my home to grab my Super Mario 3D World copy and hugged it for an hour or so.

Knack outsold 3DW only in the UK for a few weeks which is equivalent of a 2k difference in the UK which within a few months Knack will be left behind as Mario keeps going like a marathon runner Knack won't hence why the are people trying to give some reason as to why people were harping on about UK sales back then.

Knack was helped by the fact that it was a launch title I'm willing to bet if it wasn't present at launch it may have sold less as just a title released later on.
