I don't really care about the artstyle, but it does add that much more. Wind Waker is my favorite game of all time, and I freely admit that if it were not in the same artstyle, it might not be that way.

I do want a darker looking Zelda though, because I just want to see a Zelda game that looks like the Zelda U demo. But hell, if they used skyward sword artstyle, I wouldn't be angry.

Of the series, I've only played Ocarina, Majora, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword, but of those I'd say both Wind Waker and Majora aren't particularly good games in my view, thanks to Majora's horrible time system and WW's beyond-tedious sailing and repulsive visuals.

Ocarina, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword are fantastic, however.

Out of curiosity, how do you feel about Wind Waker HD?

It seems to take some steps to remedy what I hated about Wind Waker, but not enough to make me want to play it.

I think it's pretty hypocritical of people who praise art style but then make comments about how graphics don't matter. One specific fanbase I speak of.

Good graphics don't make the game, but if the game is going to be the same either way, I'd rather have better graphics.  I prefer Super Mario All Stars over any of the original versions of the games for example.  But, I prefer Final Fantasy on the NES over Final Fantasy Dawn of Souls.  Different game mechanics for the remake of Final Fantasy is the reason I don't prefer it over the original.

Well, that's how I feel about remakes in general. :/ I recall waiting until I could get OoT3D for less than MSRP. The originally version was showing its age for me, and I wasn't sure if the remake was going to rekindle my interest. But it did. Master Quest ended up making the difference.

Well, yeah, the fact it's a remake of a game from 2003 is another reason it doesn't exactly get my adrenaline going, haha.

I did like a few Wii remakes where the controls actually really improved the experience, but mostly I'd rather just play the original, if I liked it.

My main concern about WWHD is the price ($50 MSRP lol). I can't imagine myself paying more than $30 for it, even if Wind Waker is #20 on my favorites list. Ocarina is #11.

You know I'd pay $100 for Metroid Prime HD, though.

The only thing that turned me off about the WW's art style was Toon Link's Powerpuff Girl design. If they had kept Link and the characters looking like they did in the art from the manuals in old school Zelda games it would have been amazing.
