Interesting. So if all the device has to do is play games, shouldn't we count iPhone? It plays games and is a gaming device? Oh, wait, we DON'T count them? Why? Because it's a seperate market? But...IT PLAYS GAAAAAMMMEEES!!

Seriously though, they don't compete and never have. Take a look at the first bar graph on this website. Notice how they seperate the totals? Do you know why they do that? Because handhelds and consoles are seperate markets and don't directly compete. They sell to a completely different demograph and are drastically cheaper to buy. If YOU want to incorrectly lump them in together, you'd better add iPhone and Galaxy sales as well since they're portable gaming devices.

If the WiiU had a sudden, massive sales spike in Europe or the US, VGChartz extrapolation techniques prolly wont catch it. It is what it is.

I believe the same. Europe is Playsiland no chance for another console.The Wii U is fine and will make good numbers not GREAT but GOOD.

It will surely break 300K and it may even reach 400k next week with a little bit of luck. A week after that it may reach 500k since it would be the peak of the holidays.

They are in a really good position when you remember the summer. By the Way it is for me sure then PS4 will win Europe and maybe USA . They have the chance and they will doing this. it will start next year better for Nintendo the 3DS have a larger Installbas and will sell more Software the WiiU make a NICE nummber of Unit next Year.

It doesnt need to be in the top, it just needs to sel a comparable number of units. And that, it has.
Its competing with its rivals, so its hardly the doom and gloom so many vocal peope wanted.

The problem is Europe, in NA and Japan the numbers are fine, but Europe performance is very low. Any idea what could be the problem in that territory? The lack of FIFA 14 or PES 2014 is sure hurting the console, but that much?

The week ending the 28th will likely be down from the previous week.  Don't count on a 25-66% increase.

all five consoles ps3ps4 xbox0ne360 & wiiU all selling between 270k - 330k not bad.  3DS selling almost a million a week.  Love it.
