latest is current.....

was this thread even necessary?
why on earth would people referring to the new consoles as 'next gen' annoy you to such a degree,
why would you get so worked up over it?
.... seriously, why does it matter?
Wii U is more next gen than any other because it has got the lesser hardware.
If that holds true to iPhone it holds true to WiiU
x)
There over 100 million consoles owners worldwide less then 10% own NEXT GEN CONSOLES.
Many of us are holding off before buying a NextGen or CurrentGen consoles while we still play the LastGen (CurrentGen) Games.
Until I buy a PS4/Xbox One or the world wide sales of said consoles reach around 20 million. I'm going to keep saying NextGen.
question for the OP
so if I buy a new car, drive it off the lot and take it to a friends house to show it off and my friend says
"hey, you got a new car"
am I suppose to say
"well, it's not actually new, I've had it for about twenty minutes now"
(what a silly thread)

The PS4 is readily available to purchase as well... so it is current only then too... And I can make a PC equalling the PS4 hardware...
By that logic, nothing available to the consumer is "next", because in the labs of AMD, Intel, nVidia, etc, there are many processors we haven't seen hit the market yet which would truely be nextgen... If anything available is "current" and not "next" then there is no consumer good can be considered "next".

If the reasons behind your post didn't matter to me, if I didn't find them puzzling or want a logical explanation for what appears to be an irrational line of thought, I wouldn't have asked you the questions I did.
So again, why does it matter to you if other people refer to the new consoles as next gen?
(which is what we've been calling them for the past year or so in forums and discussion... and since two of the three next gen cosoles haven't been out for even two months yet, doesn't it sorta make sense that the term people have been using isn't going to disappear the moment the consoles are sitting on a store shelf?)
