I think it's kinda funny how everyone is saying the Wii-U is doomed and that it failed as a console. I don't get involved with these aruguments because, quite frankly, I don't care. I've been a gamer since day one, and I grew up with Nintendo and Sony. There will always be great games for me to play no matter what system I own so I don't worry about defending one system over another. It's a company's job to persuade me as a gamer to buy their system and games. Period.

But I think it's a pretty safe thing to say that yes the Wii-U did fail...in its first year. But what people seem to be forgetting is that this console still has at least another four years to go before Nintendo will even think about releasing a successor. In that time the Wii-U will be procuring some strong games under its belt and will come out a strong system when everything is said and done. Everyone called doom on the PS3 since it was a huge disaster when that first released, but Sony has come a very long way with its system and finished strongly. I fully believe that its very ambitious and pre-mature to call the Wii-U a "failure" and people will just have to wait patently for the games to start rolling in. In three years the Wii-U will have hit its stride and Wii-U owners will have nothing to worry about.

Everyone! Stop being with all the  bullshit negativity and just wait for things to get better.

I remember when the xbox launched and the haters were on it in a flash saying it was doomed to fail. As a natural supporter of the underdog I quickly got on board and it turned out fine.

When Sony struck economic problems the PS3 was doomed and the haters were predicting there won't even be a PS4. Again I got onboard the PS bandwagon and everything worked out fine.

Now wii u is doomed but guess what?? I am on board. How can it be doomed?

I guess I should expect this since it's largely a sales website, but people place WAY too much stock in sales. At the end of the day, sales doesn't affect my enjoyment of games or consoles, and it shouldn't for anybody else.. especially considering the fact that third party support is going to suck whether the console is successful or not (see the Wii). I enjoyed the 100 million selling Wii, but I also enjoyed the 21 million selling Gamecube.

the difference is wiiu is a difficult choice to have when you have P.S.4 + Xbox1 for sale

wiiu will get a life long shaft by devs hence there's no point in getting one unless you want te play Nintendo games only

The Wii U is obviously doomed so I don't see a problem there.
