The Wii was no insanity, it was the finest days of Nintendo gaming besides the legendary SNES. Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, Xenoblade, Zelda Twilight Princess & Skyward Sword, Metroid Prime 3, Donkey Kong Country Returns...

After the disappointing Gamecube days, Wii was a spectacular return to form.

Thats allot of consoles for 1 household. Impressive. Glad to see you support the big N. If  the Wii-U gets passed by the PS4/XBONE before Jan, all hell will break loose in these blogs.

I am a Nintendo fan, grew up with them. I am waiting for Mario Kart. Once that is out, I'll have a great backlog on top of things (Mario 3D, 2D Marios, Pikmin, Zelda HD, etc.) as well as games in the future to look forward to without waiting too long (new Zelda, X, etc.). In addition to all that, I will have saved money on the console.

250 is the number I was looking to get a Wii U for, but I missed out on a lot of the black friday deals. I really think that once MK8 is out, and a price of 250, you could be seeing the Wii U sell like gangbusters. Look at the PS3 and Xbox 360...

I didn't know the 2DS actually dropped the 3D part (duh i suppose).  I thought it was just a flatter, new fab chip, cheaper alternative.  That's an interesting move by Nintendo there.  Wow.

The timing isn't right for me. I bought a 3DS mid-2012, and I'm just not ready to shell out another $300+ on new hardware. Truth be told, I'd prefer to keep my entire gaming budget for any given year under that amount. And I suppose that's roughly how much I spent on games this year, so... mission accomplished?

I'll put it this way: I bought Fire Emblem: Awakening, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (3DS), Shin Megami Tensei IV, Pokemon Y, Link Between Worlds, Ace Attorney 5, and a handful of eShop games this year. Alternatively, I could have bought a Wii U and zero games for the same price. Maybe the simplest answer is that I'm not supporting the Wii U because I'm giving all of my support to the 3DS.

I'll get a Wii U in time. Nintendo isn't going anywhere.

I suppose, while hardly a "fanboy" by any means, I would say that I'm a "Nintendo Faithful", meaning that I grew up with them and while I own Playstation consoles, have an old TG16 and Genesis, game on PC, etc., I still consider Nintendo to be the main draw when it comes to games I'm interested in.

And as a "Nintendo Faithful", I do absolutely support Wii U. I bought that shit at launch. I would've supported it even more than I have, if money wasn't tight lately. So...............................OP irrelevant? More people need to buy Wii U, yes. People who say they want to see the system do better need to back their words up and actually support it themselves, yes. But I think a lot of the truly "Nintendo Faithful" have already done that, or perhaps if they haven't been able to afford a Wii U yet, certainly plan on getting one soon.

Well, Finngamer (a YouTuber) is trying to get every game ever released for the Wii U, so I'm pretty sure that there's some people who definitely support it.

When I said " Insanity " that was the Wii, I ment it in a good way. The sales were out of this world. I never bought a Wii, I thought the Wii-Mote controls were very lackluster, but I was suprised by how many people bought the system.

I agree 100% with your words.  Here is one of my  biggest grypes of gamers.

- Some claim to be Hardcore gamers, some Casual gamers, some game on and off, but are gamers through and through. But yet when a new console launches, you hear the " I'm not going to pick it up until (Insert favorite game here) is released. That to me makes no sence. If gamers dont support the console at launch, do you think the casual gamers will ? NOPE. Gamers drive the video game industry, we have to be the ones to go out and support our artform. If we dont, then we are to blame if it die off.
