Table for the people in tears:

80% Nintendo

20% Rest of the world

For those who don't mind to count, that's 3 others, 12 Nintendo.

Where is COD and minecraft? And tetris has sold 170 million overall and I think it shouldn't count as Nintendo property

Back during Generation Seven when the PSP was momentarily outselling the DS, all we heard was about the handheld space. Once the DS began outselling the PSP, incredibly the handheld console market never appeared again in news reports. When the Wii outsold the PS3 and Xbox 360, somehow it was said the Wii wasn’t a ‘real console’ and news reports omitted it while only talking about the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Nintendo is only said to be a console company when competitors outsell it. Otherwise, Nintendo doesn’t make game consoles. It makes *something else*. Something for kids. Something like toys. But whatever it is, it isn’t a REAL dedicated game console. Unless it is being outsold. Then, suddenly, Nintendo is a console company."

It was published by Nintendo back then. Theres a whole freakin documentary made about how that came to be. Just saying.

COD and Minecraft are below top 15. This is console only, I guess. Found it on wikipedia. Could also be outdated for 2013 maybe. You can research and update it for us, if it matters that much to bring Nintendo down for 1 or 2 percent more :p

Combining totally different platforms to get the overall sales of a MULTI-platform title, is like, also counting all the dudes that got your GF pregnant before you did, and count every kid as your baby.

and if parents were compairing number of kids they have would the parent count all there kids regardless of if they all had the same mother or father?

A man with 20 kids with 10 different woman has more kids than a couple that had 12 themselves.

If part of your point was that Nintendo shouldn't go 3rd part because of the sales. Show how they still dominate the charts even without mutiple systems for their games.

I do see you made a list with GTA but you are missing COD and possible another franchise. Even with those it will still be mostly nintendo

Thats an interesting table. It shows how well has Nintendo manage their IPs over the time.

OffTopic: Someone from the PS/Xbox nation is going to report it you for being mean to them... haha.

When Nintendo published Tetris, THAT was when Tetris hit big at retail. The rest of those numbers memo is refering to is spread around all kinds of systems, all kinds of publishers, other iterations of the game, and digital mobile sales after Nintendo lost exclusivity.

Are those Minecraft sales retail?

How many formats are the COD games spread around? Can you give sales per format?

Pretty sure that list he dug up counts individual formats and retail sales only.
