Mind you, I don't think Nintendo should go third party. The kind of monopoly they have in terms of software sales on their own platforms is just too good a situation to pass up. In fact I was in a Gamestop the other day looking for a Christmas gift and I noticed virtually every new Nintendo game had dropped almost nothing in price. I was picking up a copy of NSMB2 and noticed that the original NSMB which released in 2006, almost 8 years ago, is still selling for $35. Super Mario 64 DS, a port going on 10 years old, still retails for $30. That is unheard of. No other console company has this sort of power over their pricing and library. In 5 years, SM3DW will be $50 new. Meanwhile, in 6 months or so, Sony will slash the price of GT6. MS will cut the price of their Xbone launch titles in 2014. The idea that Nintendo should go 3rd party is ludicrous. They'll lose a ton of money on software sales. It's like saying Disney should get rid of their "Disney vault". No.

But all that said, relying on unreliable sales data from years and years and years ago, in some cases decades ago, to show some sort of relevant current market logic, is equally foolish. I mean, maybe instead of closing down stores, Blockbuster should just look at some 2002-2004 charts? Nintendo has a bomba on their hands with the Wii U, and no amount of dominant NES software sales or super high handheld hardware sales with change that.

When Playstaion first arrived without fanbase, without popular franchises, it beat Nintendo by a milestone, then it happen again with the XBOX, it sold more then gamecube without fanbase and franchises.

Dude I we all get it Nintendo is succesful, Ninty has done great games and still does em that's a fact, but if you can't or don't want to undersatand how wrong Nintendo is about a lot of things and how it hurts both them and the core gamer, then your just one big Nintendrone. Just 10 minutes ago I saw a Wii U commercial on Hulu and let me tell you, as the gamer that I am I thought it was just pathetic... Uhh look cat peach, ooooh GET Mario for the family Really Nintendo! Really Nintendo!? Is that what your console is? 

I'm sorry but both Sony and MIcrosoft(with their stupid tv and kinect), embrace geekdom and the core "fantasy" experiance that is video games more than Nintendo. Like you said Nintendo has been very succesful financialy and that's what they care about the most now a days. 

OoT, SMG, some Pokemon games, some retro games, best CoD, and best games of popular franchise (Uncharted, Tomb Raider, Bioshock, Halo, etc)

Holy shit GTA V has hit 27 million already? Good Lord.

I can see why VGChartz would list them separately since that is how everything is formatted, but if you're making a list of top selling software by company, the only reason to not include them is because you badly want Nintendo to get the 100%.

I mean, that's a valid point for CoD, it's the same game with minor differencies in DLC and graphics. So we can also add 2 different devices into the same hardware.

Because afterall both of them are a dudebro machine with little diference at all....
