Not only that but Nintendo has also made video game consoles since 1977. Sony 1994, and MS 2001. Video games been made since like 1947.
So time spent making games out of its entire history:

Nintendo 54%
Sony 29%
MS 18%

Anyone that has been a "NINTENDO ONLY CONSOLE OWNER", has gotten screwed the last 2 gens, Missing out on TONS of great 3rd party EXCLUSIVES, which by all means were on the both ps2/Xbox & ps3/360. 

People who refuse to own/borrow Nintendo consoles because it is against the dudebro religion, are also missing on TONS of great 1st party ABSOLUTE EXCLUSIVES, some of which by all means, are present on the TOP 15 SOFTWARE OF ALL TIME.

so it's ok to count bundles and multiple pokemon together but COD and GTA don't count because they don't sell well on a single platform?

Nintendo has done amazing over the years, but the wii u is no wii and the hand-held market is declining. 10 of those 15 are from the ds and wii. I doubt any games from the 3ds or wii u can put new games on the list as is and especially not when you count total sales of games like COD and GTA

10 of those were released during Iwata's leadership. yeh pretty sure he isn't getting fired anytime soon fellas.

I doubt either microsoft or sony can remain in the dedicated gamig business as long as Nintendo remained so far.

I believe they will dissolve the business into their other products. I.E - playstation becomes bundled with the internals of latest SOny TVs, and Xbox is integrated on the Windows OS.
