Thanks for that! I and several others asked on the US blog and every one of us went unanswered. So maybe I'll check the EU blog from now on. lol

My comment! I feel so famous!
Anyway, it would have great if you could have had more options of how to buy them. One big combi pack and all the way down to buying each version individually, there seems no reason not to do it digitally, even if you can argue why you wouldn't for the physical versions
If I had the choice, I would probably buy FFX HD for both PS3 and Vita, boxed copies of both as I love physical and I'm not too interested in FF X-2
But we should just be happy that they're making this at all!
Personally, I've got the PS3 EU special edition pre-ordered for £35 (unfortunately no soundtrack) and I'll be pre-ordering the Vita version, hopefully for £25 (that seems to be the price of the standard edition). So that's £60 for a game I already own.... And over £100 on the day once inFamous Second Son is added in... Then no doubt even more when Ubi inevitably choose to release Watch_Dogs then
I seem to remember someone on psblog asking about a Vita/PS3 bundle for the game and he didn't outright say no but gave the whole "we don't have any info to give out at this time" answer so who knows. Also I really wish Sony never did the whole cross buy thing because its really REALLY annoying hering people asking about it and then complaining about it when it's not there. If you really want the game on both then just buy the game on both.
| Kresnik said: Given that so far we've had cross-buy from Sony first-party titles and some download-only indie games, I don't see it spreading to third parties ever. I think the best we had was EA saying they "thought about it" with NFS. Yeah right. Happened with Dragon's Crown too. Cross-play but not cross-buy. I don't expect it and I really don't see why it should be the norm. Time and effort is spent making two different versions of the game, why shouldn't they both be charged at full price? That said, the one bonus point from your "coupon" idea is that I doubt many people would buy both the PS3 & Vita versions. By offering an incentive to buy both, they might actually end up getting higher sales than they would have initially. |
That and make that digital only. Cut out the middle man and more for both Sony/SE. I can see that type of method selling a good many more Vita copies that might not otherwise be sold.
As I said tho, Im a sucker and will probably buy both at launch...Im part of the problem and I know it!
I've heard about them but i've never played a Final Fantasy before.
Is X good?
im torn between the vita and PS3 version myself, i want the PS3 version for 1080p but i also want the vita version because ill have literally FF1-10 on my vita
I'm actually amazed by the fact that Sony hasn't still promoted the idea of getting the second version at a big time discount. Let's say you buy FIFA 15 on PSN for PS4, now you get 50% off of FIFA 15 for Vita. It's so obvious for me, would be loved by 3rd parties, cause the Vita port is actually giving them more money and people buy digital, which cuts the middle man and gives bigger profit. Everybody wins. I really can't understand why is it so hard for Sony to figure it out, instead they go for a totally free cross-buy even with their AAA multiplat games. That's just plain stupid.
Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!
My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/
My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.
