Depends on the Xbox1's install base by that time, if its at say 5million then probably 1.5 million to 2.5 million.

just curous how you think it selling half of what the ps4 is selling in the UK as penetrating the proper areas im just saying that after its initial launch in the UK it has sold badly, where the ps4 is still selling strong.   ill agree that in the us it has sold well, almost catching up to the ps4 even though the last week that the numbers are posted the ps4 outsold it that week by almost 70k....i just think that the xbone wont do nearly as well as the 360 did, which im still convinced those numbers were highly inflated due to failure rates which in 2009 were said to be 50% or more.  i dont have a single friend who isnt on thier 3rd 360(keep in mind they all but one have only 1 working 360)your talking about 9 people i can think of right now who have bought 3 360s thats 27 for 9 people.  anyhow im getting off topic, im just saying that i dont think the xbone will do nearly as good as the 360 or even the ps4 and they will be in second place unless Ninty does somethign downright amazing to bypass them(im making the assumption that both xbone and ps4 will easily pass WiiU in sales)

Microsoft is a very predictable company. They wont screw with campaigns that work. If one doesn't work they'll change and if Sony does well they'll make changes, but they will not skew what drew Europeans towards their previous console. The consoles won have the  failure rate of the 360 which is why there are so many fans in the Xbone. The Xbone is expensive, yes, but only because of the Kinect and sooner or later Sony will force them to drop their bundling death grip they have over consumers and the sales will expand worldwide. Microsoft is just testing the market right now. If Sony makes the right moves they will be forced to stop bundling and thats when it will get more competitive. Don't forget that 90% of their games will be exactly the same so once Microsoft drops the price its back to the typical HDTwin war where they are at each others throats. This gen there are no year advantages, so we're going to see whose exclusive offerings help push them ahead. 

They will both surpass the Wii U before at least by or during summer. I am calling mid spring for Sony though. They are still backed up and I still cannot find a Gamestop that has one and its January.

I don't expect the X1 to dominate or to flop. It's the most expensive console so it's only natural the PS4 does better in sales.

Sony's footholds worldwide is much larger. Microsoft is focusing on America and certain parts of Europe right now. Remember that Sony hasn't even launched in Japan, so once Microsoft expands their markets all Sony has to do is launch in Japan. Microsoft mainly needs western sales right now American sales (North, South and Central) and European for now to keep close to Sony and then they will expand once the frontloaded demand settles. Because of this they have a backup of Xbox Ones in America. You can pick up Xbones at any Gamestop as we speak. You most likely wont be able to find a PS4 until February in the states with the ease of the Xbone.

i would say that you are the one who needs to do a bit of reading. its easy, i promise, i already provided the link, just press on it and read whats in it. it will show what hunderds of thousands of people are thinking about the two games instead of a few posters online who all together just make 100 posts. 

Still there is no point in bringing up Destiny, it's a multiplatform game (not only on X1 but also on X360), it won't do anything hardware-wise. It's delusional to think otherwise. PS4 2014 game library will look pitiful if uncharted doesn't release this year.
