Im with you there, after the dreadful numbers for the first half of the year, 60-80k per week on a flat month would be decent and big spikes when high profile games hit. Like i said previous surely Wii U in 2014 will beat out this years dismal sales.

60k - 80k ?! That's a little high don't you think so ? Tripling the sales for just a 3D mario title sounds a little insane. It would be more believable if it was 2D mario but definitely not 3D world.

Do you not think that the 2D Mario bundles will keep the baseline a little more stable? supported by having 3D world out there as well?

Do you not think that the 2D Mario bundles will keep the baseline a little more stable? supported by having 3D world out there as well?

You see we all know that 3D mario's are very weak when it comes to selling more hardware but 2D mario is a different beast altogether.

It's not just SM3DW. Also the price cut, more bundles, advertising, holiday momentum, and of course other games like WWHD and Party U giving the Wii U a pretty decent library. Also, last I checked, Wii Fit U has been delayed to January for NA, and DKCTF is set to release in February. So yeah, it really should be able to do 60k-80k.

I think it will help, if only a little. The Miiverse is awesome and the 3DS guys seem to be enjoying it. They're pretty vocal and a lot of fun. 3DS only guys can look at Wii U forums and see the screenshots and discussions taking place. Hopefully, it's having a positive effect.

We'll see. As of now it's looking devastatingly weak for the WII U.
