Forums - Gaming - IGN ''What Sony's '4.2 Million PS4s Sold' Figure Actually Means"

It's simply amazing how the PS4 has sold so much with one OK exclusive and a Bad exclusive. Guess they just wanted to play slightly better multi platforms.

It's not a bad article, but not really a eye opening one either. Just putting out info and graphs.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

How did you post this article on 5th December!?

THATS MY BIRTHDAY!

(Also, it's like a month ago)

I erased the original content and posted the new one. We can't make new threads. There is something wrong with the website :(

Thanks IGN, I had no idea 3.9 million was more than 3 million but less than 4.2 million!

very impressive sales. regardless if its shipped or sold to consumers because right now shipped= sold essentially
plus nearly 10 million in software

Pains me that they can't do decent research. Just because Nintendo announced their financials in October doesn't mean they INCLUDE October, how the hell do they not know this??!!

I made one just fine:

Not sure what you can do about that to be honest, though.  I'd say ask ioi but, well... you know =/

I am not too sure either one of them will sell 80 mn+, next year and 2015 will give us a better picture.

Why isn't the wii included in this chart? I want to know how much that sold at launch by comparison as well... wtf IGN

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

2 million Wii U sales in 6 weeks

3 million Bones in 5.5 weeks.

Seems fairly reasonable to assume the rates of sale will continue to be higher for X1.
