Diablo 3 had microtransactions? Odd, in my 400 hours playing it I never saw one. Unless you're talking about the Real Money Auction House that Blizzard has already admitted that it was abused and exploited to oblivion and completely destroyed the in-game economy or the gold buyers who crapped billions of gold and devalued the entire gold Auction House.

Those are not microtransactions. Those are the gamers being pricks to one another.

But it wasn't microtransactions per se, at least not like the F2P games and Forza 5/GT6 are implementing, unless you consider the same system that the peeps managing (whom had nothing to do with Blizzard) D2-Items.com put up for Diablo 2 to be microtransactions as well. This was gamers nickel and diming gamers, usually in the most ridiculous and ironic way possible.

I say Ironic because I'd bet you anything that most of those gamers that put items to sell on D2-Items or in the RMAH in D3 (and those who bought them) are the first ones in line to rant and throw shit at the developers if they were to ones to do that. It's just basic human nature, it's only wrong and immoral if i'm not the one doing that, sadly.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you when you said that it's not understandable how so many few people are actually angry/dissapointed in the MTs of Forza 5/GT6. This is not a good direction to take for gaming, as the examples in D3 weren't too.

Imo, they should do a system where retail price of a game has to be $15 lower from new, if microtransactions are used.
Would mean people that have no intention of using them, benefit, and gives the publishers/devs food for thought when considering using them.

dont forget FM4 also had MT's in fact id say FM4 was the benchmark for these MT's in FM/GT, the problem is not the MT's but gamers attitudes in general, now a days gamers just expect the whole game to be completely open and that everything can be won/bought almost instantly, a few old sckool games that make it hard to progress without grinding and modern gamers flip out over it, thing is MT's are here to stay, you could be a retro gamer and ignore the MT's and play the games the way they were meant to be played or join the modern gamers and not play the games at all, one thing ive found that has ruined the who experience of gaming is achievements but thats for another thread, you either accept MT's or not but you will never change the direction in which MT's go.

Great for anybody lazy enough to buy them instead of playing for them. There is no sense of achievement in just buying your car and if you "don't have the time" to work your way up that one car you always wanted, then why even bother playing the game?

I absolutely despise microtransactions so I won't touch this game with a ten-foot pole. Even though they might not affect this game, I see this only as a first step in the very, very wrong direction in which I'm not gonna follow any company. If this shit keeps on spreading, I'm just gonna leave PS4 for a PC and stick to a PC + Wii U combo.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

I have no issues if this is just convenience DLC, thats actually great and will just give polyphony funds to work on the next game.

As long as you can't buy some exclusive real money-only cars that are pay to win, everythings all right.
