while at the same time providing a game with nearly 1200 cars from launch, no season pass crap here, no one currently knows what prize cars you win during the game nore do we know how many credits you get from later races, going by the previous GT game there are weekly events where you can make quite a lot of money fast to buy new cars, FM5 has micro transactios too but no where near as much content, you could spend the same on FM5 using the boost XP MT and buying cars with MT, to get all the DLC though and without the CE you'll end up spending over £100 letalone the rest people will make on MT's so you can't single GT6 out on this.

Current PC build:

Asus Z97I-Plus, i5 4790K @ 4.6ghz, EVGA GTX 980 ACX 2.0 1377/1853/124%, Corsair Vengence Pro 2400mhz 2x 8192mb, Corsair RM850, Corsair H80i, 120GB OCZ Vertex 3 SSD, 750GB Seagate Momentus XT SSHD, 320GB Weston Digital HDD, Corsair 230T, Corsair K50 Raptor, HP XQ500AA mouse, Windows 10 Pro 64bit. iiyama Pro Lite G2773HS 120Hz 1Ms G2G gaming monitor.

Easy money for SONY so cool. GT will just become even more successful financially. I don't play these games so no skin off my nose.

4 ≈ One

At leasy Sony AND Microsoft are doing this, meaning there won't be a pissing war and both can agree it's bullshit.

This isn't the game for this sort of thing.

Well I was already trying to decide either to buy the game or not. I wont buy it now, I hate this kind of business model...

You better hope it doesn't see good returns then! Unfortunately I see more of this creeping its way into games.

It won't bother me as long as the full package can be bought.

I love Plants Vs Zombies but the fact 2 only had a freemium model realllly puts me off, I hope they fix that when they bring it to consoles, I fear they won't though :(

Buy the game, play it and do not worry about spending extra on DLC unless you have money to burn. Paying $60 every year in annual sports game roster update and $60 for the annual Call of Duty of Battlefield for a game that offers nothing new is steep.

I can understand people saying "they are optional, you can still grind for rewards"

But its just disheartening to play like some 500+ hours all in order to get to some car you wanted and then having 1,000 spoiled adults/kids using it for months cause they popped down $100 on it.

Makes me not want to even try. Imagine if you could buy achievement or trophy's with microtransactions. How cool would platinum trophy's be then. You worked your ass off to get your 10 plat trophies and you some other gamers tag showing he has 32 platinum trophies. Then you wonder how many did he earn, how many did he buy. And then so does everyone else looking at yours. They see your 10 trophies and wonder if you earned any of them or just bought them.

That's the feeling I get when they add microtransactions to in-game rewards. It turns me off from playing it.

Or you could, oh i dont know.. actually play the game you bought and buy them that way?
buying ingame credits on forza 5 and gt6 is stupid, reserved only for the lazy.

Theres a key difference, the people that were gridning to get it will ultimately end up much better at the game, and handling the car they bought than the person that simply handed over cash and bought the content, they would also be able to access a lot more of the game using said car due to the progression made while grinding, where mr lazy ass is limited to the newb races, most of which wouldnt allow the high performance credit munchers to enter.

It is a service save hours of racing to unlock a car pay real money guess it depends on what your time is worth to you. As long as all these cars can be unlocked the old fashioned way I have no issue with it.
