I have no issues if this is just convenience DLC, thats actually great and will just give polyphony funds to work on the next game.

As long as you can't buy some exclusive real money-only cars that are pay to win, everythings all right.

You should have an issue with it.
Despite it's current implementation being rather lax... If it makes allot of money, you can bet your kidney that they will eventually take it a step farther, these are for-profit companies remember.

If people were more vocal about the PS4's paywall, it might have forced Sony's hand to make it free again, much akin to how Microsoft had to go and remove the online-only access, instead people just played the value card.

I missed this one.

I don't like microtransactions and I think GT games didn't needs that but I laughed a lot with some comments here comparing Forza 5 with GT6 microtransactions lol.

The first one was a game made based in microtransactions with banner and ingame options to buy with real money anytime in the game... it even try to force you to use microtransaction... you need to avoid them and it is annoying.

The second you don't even know that microtransactions exists unless you check the PS Store because the game didn't have any microtransactions needed... you can win easy money and buy any car you want just using ingame credit (not the real one).

For now... Just can't wait to see how it develops in the next iteration. And it's coming soon, Christmas 2014 most probably.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Well I've been a heavy critic of DLC since it was introduced and I boycott games because of DLC. But microtransactions that just gives you stuff immediately with money is fine in my book. These companies need money to keep making those AAA-games, offering something like this is way better alternative than cutting the base game into pieces then selling those pieces as DLC.

Ofcourse they can ruin this too by making the grinding aspect way too long, but if u do that your playerbase will just quit and go elsewhere.

I really dislike the PS4-paywall online choice and wish everyone would moan about it loudly, I'd rather take the old simple free service than this current one.

I absolutely despise microtransactions so I won't touch this game with a ten-foot pole. Even though they might not affect this game, I see this only as a first step in the very, very wrong direction in which I'm not gonna follow any company. If this shit keeps on spreading, I'm just gonna leave PS4 for a PC and stick to a PC + Wii U combo.

hang on, the PC is rife with microtransaction games not to mention what game/games on the PS4 have microtransactions, just 1 thing i will say though in regards to any 1+ million credits car in GT6, they are not needed duing the first 3 licences and by the time you are on the international B licence you should have over 1 million credits anyway and lets not forget who started this 'use real money to buy ingame cars crap'.

Lestat but it was optional too and it wasnt a one way street, at least players in theory could make money too

But it wasn't microtransactions per se, at least not like the F2P games and Forza 5/GT6 are implementing, unless you consider the same system that the peeps managing (whom had nothing to do with Blizzard) D2-Items.com put up for Diablo 2 to be microtransactions as well. This was gamers nickel and diming gamers, usually in the most ridiculous and ironic way possible.

I say Ironic because I'd bet you anything that most of those gamers that put items to sell on D2-Items or in the RMAH in D3 (and those who bought them) are the first ones in line to rant and throw shit at the developers if they were to ones to do that. It's just basic human nature, it's only wrong and immoral if i'm not the one doing that, sadly.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you when you said that it's not understandable how so many few people are actually angry/dissapointed in the MTs of Forza 5/GT6. This is not a good direction to take for gaming, as the examples in D3 weren't too.

dont forget FM4 also had MT's in fact id say FM4 was the benchmark for these MT's in FM/GT, the problem is not the MT's but gamers attitudes in general, now a days gamers just expect the whole game to be completely open and that everything can be won/bought almost instantly, a few old sckool games that make it hard to progress without grinding and modern gamers flip out over it, thing is MT's are here to stay, you could be a retro gamer and ignore the MT's and play the games the way they were meant to be played or join the modern gamers and not play the games at all, one thing ive found that has ruined the who experience of gaming is achievements but thats for another thread, you either accept MT's or not but you will never change the direction in which MT's go.

I know it's here to stay, it doesn't make it any more right. What troubles me is what will come next.

Am I missing something or do we win way less cars in GT6 than in GT5?

Everyone who had the game said that it is very generous and that it's as fast as GT5, if not faster, to make money/win cars.

But I have the game now (yes: second-hand aniversary edition, brand new! take that PD!)...and I don't know what to think.

In GT5, you won a car every time you won a race. Everytime you won a licence (even in bronze, you got a car)... everytime you win a series... Am I mistaken?

I mean. It seems to me that you won WAY WAY more cars in GT5 than in GT6.
I've been playing for 2h30 and I only got 2 cars (I know i could have more golding events... but that's not the point: unless I retry and retry and retry to gold events, I don't win a tenth of the cars I won in GT5)

Those who have the game: am i wrong (GT5 was a long time ago)?

GT6 prize cars: http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thread...-12-09.291615/

GT5 prize cars: http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thread...kables.134047/

Also: the cars available in Arcade mode are way less numerous. We used to have more than 50 cars (http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thread...r-list.166603/) and now we have only 20.

Honestly, am I getting dumb (er) or have we been lied to ? (I don't want to throw rocks if I am actually missing stuff)

He is wrong about the part you won a car per race... it is per event in GT5... so the Sunday Cup (2 races) give you a ticked for a car... what I watched from Inside Racing Sim first hour it is the same... each event give you a car.

The differece now is that GT6 give you all cars available to buy any time... GT5 just some 200 cars.

fuck microtransations,, grinding credits as i watch a super mario 64 ds lets play =)
not the quickest method to grinding but i refuse to delete that massive patch so i can glitch credits
