That's the worst reason, areason.
There are definitely consoles that have done worse. Case in point, Rol's post.
Its definetly the worst selling Nintendo Homeconsole. Unless you count the Virtualboy as Homeconsole. Other companies failed harder though so no.

Dreamcast sold around 10 million in two years. But Saturn has also only something about 10 million and sold for a longer time.
Sega Saturn I'm pretty sure sold less, though it seemed to do well in Japan, so that might not even be correct.
