Kind of a bummer piece of news.

1 of the things I wanted to do was use the box to record some mw3 gameplay were I got 7 kills in 10 seconds from different directions. No wall bang bs.

Game DVR only records xbox one games for anyone that thought otherwise like myself. Understandably so as the hdmi in was meant for cable tv which they would not want us to record with their assistance.

Just wish it could tell it was a 360 attached but ever a 360 can show copyrighted material so they took the safest way out.

I was watching TV the other night and saw something interesting on. Silly me said, "Xbox, record that". I've been so caught up on how everything is unified, that I thought the TV show was a game I was playing.  Then I realized, my cable box is a Tivo. Just hit the record this show option, through my TIvo remote and I was good..  On a side note, "Xbox, record that" will record a game clip while you are snapping a TV show.

Wait till you try to 'Xbox, Mute' an annoying person!

It is interesting how quickly one comes to expect tech things on once they are used to them.  Sometimes it feels like going back to dial up after having high speed internet. 

I do think Microsoft got the patent for that kind of recording.  Maybe it's an app they will bring out some day.

So much for no region locking. So far hulu and crackle are both useless to me........sad thing is crackle always worked on the 360 for me but all of a sudden it's saying not available in my region on that as well........

I have ways to get my fix but that kind a sucks.........next to check ESPN, never worked on the 360 but I'm feeling lucky................not......

well, no region lock is obviously only for games. these tv and movie companies have contracts with other companies in every freaking country so that microsoft can't just say "who cares, all the tv stuff from usa will work anywhere else even if espn or whatever has extra contracts in these countries"

Thats what I was thinking. I couldn't download a lot of games in the past, infact the free with gold gears of war is not letting me download it on the 360 for that reason. so far so good on the one with two games.......
