Sorry but saying 1/3 of territories, as if all territories have equal weight is nonsense spin.

Those extra countries amount to a little over 250 million cosumers.

I'm glad you did that math, now I did some of my own and I'll tell you that the original 13 countries that Xbox One and PS4 are launching in account for 1,029,294,316 customers.  Therefore one console sold 1.2 million to 1 billion customers while the other sold 2.1 million to 1.25 billion customers.  Now you can start to see how just going by the number of regions as a straight ratio is completely meaningless.  One has a ratio of about 1.2 per thousands possible customers (Xbone) while the other has a ratio of about 1.68 per thousand possible customers (PS4).  This isn't a partisan thing, it's just a math thing.

So your comparing PS4's almost 1 month sales total to Xbox one's first 48hrs?

2 weeks and 2 days is no where near a month, exagerations from all sides in here tho.

Nevermine was thinking Nov 5. It was the 15th. my bad their. but none the less as you stated 2 weeks to days to 2 days. It really dosn't matter though. Ms will get no respect on this site for anything they do.  Sony gets a pass and thats fine, I'm enjoying both, just wish everyone else could enjoy both a well and give praise when it's warranted. My company that i contract with has amazing thi9ngs for both on the horizon and want as many people as possible to enjoy the fruits of our labor. 2014 will be amazing.

So 300k Black Friday in North America?

Seems like those supply issues are really getting to them, 700k in all of EU isnt what anyone predicted. And only 300k for Black Friday is gonna get demolished by the Xbox supply.

Yes, it's oh-so horrible!  We have to despair! The end is near!

Meanwhile back in reality...

Iknow it's still early, but so much is pointing towards the progressing success of the PS4.

Meanwhile, VGcharts are keeping PS4 software sales at N/A. MS is going to loose so much money paying advertisers and reviewers. Spend it on windows, damn it. I hope the next CEO has the good sense to axe the gaming division. Great to hear the Lumias are doing so well, Need Windows 9 now though, can't stand 8.

Stop trying to say MS is paying VGCharts, the PS4 game sales are really that low! When they get too low you have to be a Pro member.

Considering the reports we got from infoscout, can we assume PS4 sold around 300k on BF, while X1 made around 500k-600k? This, along with EU sales could put them both quite close to each other WW, however Sony seems to have shortages so they probably have the potential to sell quite a few more units if there were some.

No we cant assume that. 1. infoscout organized a small survey, its not representative. 2. It was only about Target and Walmart. 3. If the xbone sold 2:1 PS4, Microsoft would have a press release saying how much they sold.

PS4 is ahead WW. Sony is selling the most units in NA and UK. MS should be very worried for losing their only strongholds.

Infoscout used more then just target and wallmart. GameStop, Best Buy, and a few others were in play.

MS didn't have a press release talking about how well the MS sold XBO's because they didn't sell out, where Sony sold out of PS4 inventory.

Plus 600k in USA + 100k in EU still puts the XBO behind the PS4 by 200k. Considering PS4 is selling out, this could mean a huge lead for PS4 once they can start meeting demand.

I doubt MS sold 600k xbones on black friday. It is still not sold out and dont think they have that much more stock than Sony.

They don't need much more stock WW to outsell sony in the US and other places. They released in half the countries so their steady supply could put them ahead in those areas for holiday.

SO 2.1 in 32 is better then 1.7 /1.9 in 13? Please explain. If i sell 50 apples to people in 32 states and my competitor sells 40 apples in 13 states. He is doing better than me. Plain and simple. I will still sleep fine tonight if sony sells 50 million overnight or if MS sells 50 million overnight. but to give praise to one for doing 1 million in 2 countries and then when MS does 1.2 in 13 countries say, yea but...it took 13 countries, sony did it in 2 is laughable. same logic appliesto this. It took sony 32 to hit 2 million when MS has almost got 2 million in only 13. Their will be no way of knowing who is doing better overall til the countries released in are equal. and yes everyone knows sony will dominate in japan.

So where do you get that MS sold 1.7/1.9 ? Are you saying that MS sold 0.6/0.8 Millions Xbox One on it's second week?

Honestly have no idea, but do you think theirs no way they could have shifted atleast another 600,000 in the 11 days after launch day? reports are leaning towards they did world wide. so it's all speculation right now. I still think 1.2 in 13 is better then 2.1 in 32, people can spin it however they want, but to down play what MS did in 13. compared to 32. is pretty good in a little over a 1/3 of territories sony released in. People bagged on MS for scaling back their launch to 13 and yet sony got no crap over saying were launching in 32 yet only launched in 2. I have both systems and enjoy both. just hate the blind devotion and hate spewing going on.

Sorry but saying 1/3 of territories, as if all territories have equal weight is nonsense spin.

Those extra countries amount to a little over 250 million cosumers.

And yes, they are all gamers who can afford a current gen console at launch.   :::sacrasm:::

Now if they only had more games that aren't Indie announced for next year. Infamous is not a system seller and neither is KZ. Those both even with 70 million consoles out there sell around 2.5 million. Sony NEEDS an Uncharted game or Gran Turismo to launch within the next year to even compete on the game front.
