Lower sales compared to their counterpart, yes (not in the sense of 360 obviously). Fact of the matter is WiiU should be doing better than Xbox 360 in Japan for its first year.

The comparison implies that population should have no impact on the sales of a product which is lol stupid. Aside from the XBox 360, EVERY current and last gen system has sold more in Japan than in the UK. That makes sense cause you know, the population is about twice as big. So, to not expect lower sales in the UK is stupid. |
The population isn't as important as you make it out to be. Otherwise countries like India, Indonesia, Brazil and Russia etc would be huge. Japan is a bigger market but stats show that it's not by that much.
Anyway that comparison only highlight what we already know which is that the Wii U is doing really bad in the UK.

First off, Japan does not have 160 million inhabitants as you stated in your first post, the real number is closer to 130 million.
Second thing; the market is comprised of more than home consoles, look at how huge portable consoles are in Japan, the PSP has almost 20 million sales there and the 3DS over 13 million so far, the UK has about 4.5 million PSP's and 2.6 million 3DS sales, but the population isn't 1/4 or 1/5. Simply put; home console are huge in the UK per capita, as they are in Scandinavia and to an extent in the US, while handhelds are huge in Japan so for the purpose of comparison, it is perfectly viable to compare home console sales between the UK and Japan despite the difference in population, and the point for illustration still stands regardless. Doubly so when considering the fact that Nintendo consoles have historically done pretty well in Europe while xbox was always below every radar in Japan.

In terms of socioeconomic status, UK and Japan are similar. The other countries, not so much. 68.7% of indians live on less than 2 dollars a day. As for the other countries, I'm not an expert. Indonesia I'd imagine is pretty poor as well. Dunno much about Russia or Brazil, but the point is, we're not talking about nations that are dissimilar in terms of wealth, and gaming systems in general (aside from the 360) sell significantly better in Japan.
I thought you were better of a man, Peh-Zeus. Now you are just like every other man.

Softcore yea everything is clickbait.
Random i guess you dont understand the concept, love is unconditional.
I understand u like Nintendo and im happy you bought a 3ds and i hope you enjoy it, but its no love when its conditional

WiiU in UK as of Nov 29th: 150k X360 in Japan after first year: 229k
onother reason to hate sony fans, a troll thread!!! tell the numbers of Wii U Europe and numbers of xbox 360 in 1 city of japan |
