Ugh.
First of all Japan's population is about 160 million. UK's population is about 60 million. So, to match the 360 in Japan, Wii U sales would have had to have been about 2.5x greater per capita.
As for the utterly ridiculous "home console market is the same size" the home console market is smaller BECAUSE the 360 was a failure there. Without taking the XBox 360 into account, the size of the market is about 14 million in the UK compared to about 21 million in Japan. The 360 failing in Japan is not due to a smaller home console market, the smaller home console market is due to the 360 failing in Japan. And, the total gaming population in Japan is significantly higher than it is in the UK. You could say that Japan only games on handhelds, but that is not because of a bias against the notion of gaming at home, but because home consoles have become less appealing to Eastern tastes over the years. Again, the 360 failed because it was unappealing to Japanese gamers, and not for any other reason.
I'm not going to try and argue that Wii U sales are anything but abysmal in the UK, but the cherry picked warped stats here are so unbelievably arbitrary and fallacious, that it's impossible to view this in any manner but a trolling attempt. It's either knowingly misleading or unknowingly stupid.
