Forums - Gaming - Games look better on Xbox One compared to PS4?

FOR THOSE THAT SAID MY POST IS BASELESS (TO YOU KOWEN)

"the resolution deficit makes it harder to consistently pick out enemies from a distance compared to the PS4 version - something that is also worth bearing in mind."

Probably just different settings like how my PS3 is darker than my 360 by default. I wouldn't say either looks better or worse. Just slightly different. If I were playing PS4, left the room, and came back to find the Xbox One version of any game, I wouldn't know the difference.

The  you have serious eye issues are are in denial. The diff in res alone is huge....Aliasing alone is a major difference.

Arr arr!

Hey, if it's a big deal to you, so be it.  You've zeroed in on this one thing and now it's the end all for you.  Native 1080p vs. Native 720p upscaled to 1080p.  Not an issue for me.  Sorry.

Not being an issue foir you is not the same as there not being a significant IQ difference.  Upscaled Does nothing for image quality, if anything it makes it worse, it's still 720p.

You really in your feelings bra.

Not at all I am not the one doing damage control or in denial.

There is no difference. The videos are out for all games and show it plain as day.

Are we talking about exclusive games or multiplatform games ? If it is exclusive then the Xbox One wins. Just see Ryse and Quantum Break for proof. If it is multiplatform games then PS4 wins just because it have higher resolution and better FPS than Xbox One

WTF?? KZ is the best looking game technically at launch.. PS4 is more powerfull. Infamous and uncharted will be graphics kings next year. How will the wweaker suystem have better looking exclusives, the exclusives will look even better on PS4 then the multiplats do. What you posted is simply not true.

Difference may not be as big as some ps fans make it out to be but the difference is there. Its nothing like last gen where games were literally identical except for different gamma.

Also, have either of you two done the bolded?

"If I were playing PS4, left the room, and came back to find the Xbox One version of any game, I wouldn't know the difference."

I switch between my pc and console all the time and the difference is huge.

Dont let the fanboys detract from facts.

literally identical last gen?

I just said I always played down the difference last gen but to say that is disingenuous at best.

There were plenty of examples where they werent "literally identical"

Wow, you felt that strongly you had to respond to this comment, because the difference was there last gen.  Yet, earlier in this very thread you downplay the difference between the PS4 and the One?  Even though, the performance gap is larger than last gen?  Nice.

i find it quite hypocritical of people to downplay the differences in multiplats. Last gen we had fans and reviewers, point out superior xbox multiplats, and in many cases give them higher scores. touting is superior graphics and performance. Well that was usally 5-15% resolution advantage in favor of xbox 360.

Now this gen. we have an incredible 50-110% resolution advantage, and we have fans and worst of all reviewers, downplaying the differences, saying you wont notice it. and definitely not giving higher scores to PS4 version, like they did with xbox 360.

Now Im not calling Kowen a hypocrit because I dont know if he ever touted the 360's slight multiplat advantage, and im not about to start going through his post history to find out. but if he did, and for all the others that did, including reviewers, they are all hypicrits.

the advantage is much bigger this gen than it was last gen, but now its downplayed.

LMAo whatever makes you sleep at night, IGN, Videogamer, digital foundry, edge, numerous others are all lying??? On a good TV the difference ins very noticeable. TRying to say resolution makes no difference is burying your head in the sand.

Yep, hit the nail on the head.

BTW play like a sniper a game in 720p in PC... after that do the same in 1080p.... you will see the difference to aim at long objects.

Why bother? The difference will be minimal at most so people should just come to terms that, when it comes to multiplatform games, the difference will be in exclusive content and preferred controller rather than graphics.

What about that youtube video posted a few pages back of someone playing the xbox one version and getting two head shots in a row from very far off with a sniper?
