No it wont. Sell through is irrelevant to the stock market. Shipment data may effect it if its very very impressive, but the bottom line is that the launch of a console is an expensive business so it wouldnt improve numbers anyway.

The only think driving Sony stock price at the minute is the YEN, credit ratings and achievement toward projections at each earnings release. One product simply doesnt have that impact in a company the size of Sony.

I laugh when gaming journalists say things like "stock price rises on PS4 announcement"... fucking idiotic link that is usually a complete coincidence or related to some other activity or news.

Same here. EDIT: Nevermind. I can connect to PSN again.

OT: If this thread is to imply that the always online feature of MS's original plan wasn't a big deal then I'm glad the OP doesn't work for MS. Giving a middle finger to consumers in large areas of the U.S., military bases around the world, and huge parts of Europe where being online all the time is a problem is not a good idea.
