Forums - Sales - KNACK Sales?

I really liked it but I don't feel like a sequel would be wise.

I just hope they make enough money to recoup their development costs. I don't feel devs deserve to lose money if they don't put out a shitty product. I think if they get 1 million in sales, they've more than made of their loses. I hope they get it because I want to see more original games that aren't "safe" (sequels).

1million seems about right, although who knows, if it catches on with a younger audience later on when PS4 is cheaper and more families are buying one, it may sprout legs and go further. Enough for a sequel? Right now I don't want to say, maybe Knack was actually super cheap to make, so they might pump out more? Either way I guess sales will decide

Knack sold over 100k in Northa America during the Launch week alone.

With PS4 releasing in Europe today, Knack will see another significant sales boost. Probably another 100k.

Sales will probably remain fairly steady until Xmas.

Could this game sell 2 million? Enough to warrant a sequel? Personally I'm pretty dissappointed the media sh*t on this game so hard, because its actually pretty awesome and a breathe of fresh air from all the shooters.

Due to the lack of games available, it will sell pretty good, I guess, but nowhere near 2 million. And a sequel? This will have much more competition, I wouldn't dare to do another Knack...

the title seems ok but its a budget title if its a £29.99 title then it would pass as a putrchase but at full price its nt a good deal imo

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

Knack seems pretty lame, but I expect decent sales simply because it was a heavily pushed 1st party launch title.

I expect good sales, maybe even beyond 1 million, for Knack, especially because in Japan it's a pack in for the day-1 edition.
Yet what I have seen from the game showed very simplistic level design (not to be confused with graphics, I mean the way the level is build), for a sequel they would need to improve that a lot. Compared to Jak 1 ,which I played pretty recently, Knack just seems outdated from a level design point of view.

I think when it's all said and done for Knack, we'll see that review scores won't mean much to parents looking for a kid-friendly game for their kids this holiday and into March.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

I think it will take quite some time before it even hits a million, probably wont get a sequel and will be a bargain bin game in a couple years but I think it will have a cult following.

1mio+lifetime will be reached as there is no genre competition and more 10% of all first year adopters will buy just because they want to play jump"n"runs,or need more game food+Europeans play less shooters more jump'n'run than americans(gues ps4/knack ratio will be in EU 15%+)

Just like Ryse this games amazon reviews are a lot better/positiv than the professional review.
It seems the balance(easy for kids/strategy&skills needed on hard) works pretty well.

Should there be a sequell? no! From what i have seen till now it seems too many chances were wasted(like using your magnetic skill to form bridges, utilities etc )
