Based on all almost everything.... I played it (the game is boring as hell), the performance (sale numbers), the general oppinion about the game, etc...
The dead is already dead, imo.

Those comments(the bolded) are so out of place. That's a perfectly fine opinion* but it's only your opinion. Why would that have any factor on if the game is dead or not?

*it's not a fine opinion cause the game's great!

Not sure what is out of place when someone is giving his oppinion about a game he played...

So yah, next time there is a thread about a game I played; I will not give my oppinion and just copy/paste someone else oppinion (and make sure it fits with what the majority of this site prefers) so it will not be out of place fo you, is that okay?

 You guys are not real...

If youre even going to bother replying atleast back it up with SOMETHING.

Quality has an impact on sales.  His opinion is that the game is low quality.  He assumes others feel that way as well.  This mean that the game will not have strong word of mouth sales, demo inspired sales, or positive internet buzz.  This in combination with other factors will make the game dead.  Not saying I agree (I've only played a brief demo) but it makes perfect sense.

You're missing the point and going off on some fanboy tangent. Except for the asterisk line that was just for fun, my post applies to every game regardless of who makes it or my opinion of it.

Here's what you wrote but slightly altered to fit different games, hopefully making my point more apparent.

.... I played GTAV (the game is boring as hell)...
GTAV is already dead, imo.

.... I played COD (the game is boring as hell)...
COD is already dead, imo.

.... I played Halo (the game is boring as hell)...
Halo is already dead, imo.

Just looking at this point in isolation, you should see that it does nothing to back up the final statement. It's taking a personal opinion and jumping to the conclusion everyone else agrees with it.

If you have the same oppinion about those 3 games, fine with me and you can share without fearing of anyone posting the same non-sense than you about my initial post/point of view; it is perfectly fine to "personnaly" believe a game is really boring and it will have a huge impact on sales... (ie: It is not out of place)

I posted my oppinion in a thread talking about a game I played (and very clearly stated it was MY OPPINION).

Edit: removed the "deal with it". It is late and I'm really tired of this non-sense arguing tonight anyway...

I understand. My problem is with the assumption that others feel the same way. I'm not calling this specific poster out but just people in general that do this. Posting metacritic or a user review thread would be evidence that people think a specific way about a game. Posting a personal opinion isn't.

Also based off our conversations of PSASBR, I doubt you'll like Knack. Their's huge variety with how the enemies fight, but Knack is very limited with his moves.

Every game similar to this game lately drop by 60 percent than died.

I believe most sale come from 2 and get one free sales and bundles.

This genre seems dead on playstation platform. I expect Europe to worst because it usually worst than America with genre on Sony.

Platformers are dead not named Mario.

Well, he also pointed out general opinion, so with the two factors, it's a fairly sound case.

As for PSASBR, I believe what we were discussing their was viable moves and strategies, which is something that applies more to fighting games.  As for Knack, I played a demo and I enjoyed it.  Reminded me of the Lego games a bit.  Controls well, looks great, and smacking enemies is satisfying.  I had fun for the 15 minutes I played it.  However, if the reviews are accurate, and those 15 minutes showed pretty much all the game had to offer in terms of combat and level design, then I probably wouldn't enjoy the full game.

How ironic is that, considering Knack actually outsold Mario in UK

Joe is actually absolutely right. This is not about his opinion, to which he is entitled, it's about the lack of logic and the weakness of imagine's argument. "I played it, it's boring, it's dead" makes no sense. "I played it, it's boring. Considering the general consensus from reviewers and the sales, I think it's dead" would actually make some sense. Because the boring part is separated, as it has nothing to do with potential sales. Joe's example about COD was spot on. Whether Joe likes COD or not is by no means a good indication of sales.

Knack is a launch game, no one would care for it if it wasn't. The Wii U is all but dead in the UK, the other next gen consoles have already outsold it. Plus, just because Knack outsold it in the UK doesn't mean the genre isn't dead. Knack still has crap sales.
