Don't think so.EU was bigger than US for sony because of the success of 360 in US.

If they ship 1mio in US and 1 mio in EU i'd say they sacrificed EU for US,as huge numbers could have been expected in EU but not in the states.

Considering tha dollar/EU ratio is 1:1.3 and ps4 is supposed to cost 380 dollar in production the US price(399) is a small loss for sony while the EU price is a profit(400 euro=500dollar+)EU was twice sacrificed for US.

Ohhhhhhh I had only R$1500 right now on my wallet... if I have anything more I would try to negociate the R$2700 price... if he reach R$2200 in cach I could take it.

Eu has twice the pop of US, only natural they ship more.

Ouch, seems like I spoke too soon. Now there are a few DOA's from verified customers. Nothing of the same magnitude as the NOA release though.

What a sin neither Sony nor MS will be able to sell as much as the demand for a while, in a period of economic crisis still hitting many countries, fully exploiting such an incredible launch would have been a huge blessing for gaming market and a smaller but still welcome one for the economy in general.

If they shipped 300k to the UK, then the shipment for europe is definitly above the 1 mil mark. Another 300k for germany, another 200k for France, probably another 100k for Italy and another 100k for Spain and several numbers to the remaining european countries. I think it might 1up the US launch. I'm guessing there were just more pre-orders in europe.
