Forums - Gaming - CD Projekt ( The Witcher 3 ): PS4 is a little more complicated than X1

If this is the case, they're doing it wrong.

Well u have to consider they have developed for a Microsoft console before and never have for a PS console.

1 out of ...?, anyway multiplatform games are saying otherwise.

Where exactly is the logic in your comment?  They say its easier to work with the X1 than it is to work with the PS4. They NEVER said that its easier by the same factor the PS4 is more powerful. So of course X1 game still look worse........

The important thing is that both consoles are very easy to develop for.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I think they speak the truth. Everyone knows and a bugatti veyron is more complicated than a mitsubishi lancer. Nuff said.

I hope they make proper use of the esram and the tiled resources.

Yeah, any developer that takes the time to figure out how to properly utilize those should be releasing much better looking Xbox One versions of multiplatform games. It sounds like CD Projekt may be one of those developers. I doubt that Witcher 3 will utilize DX11.2 on the Xbox One, simply because the game was probably well into development by the time Microsoft finalized 11.2, but hopefully Cyberpunk 2077 will utilize 11.2 on the Xbox One and PC.

What if the Xbox One games get an DX 11.2 update patch when DX 11.2 becomes available?

Makes sense, I think. Microsoft is behind both the API used on PC and the API used on the Xbox so you kind of have to expect similarities. PS4 is obviously different.

The first dev to say this. Not surprised, they've been very silent before when Xbox had the DRM, while they've been very anti-DRM on PC for the longest time.

This is the first time I hear something like this as well. Usually it's been that the PS4 version was running in a matter of weeks, while the XO crew had to be bigger and work 3-4 times longer to get similar results.

CD-Projekt have been anti-DRM and still are.

The biggest blow to them though wasn't this MS policy, but when they've learned that XO won't launch in Poland. They felt really awkward after the E3 event, promoting a console from a company that consideres their country as a tier 5-6 country, not even knowing if it's going to release here before their game is out.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.
