selnor1983 said: I said back in May. RYSE IS THE BEST LOOKING AND MOST TECHNICALY IMPRESSIVE CONSOLE LAUNCH TITLE ON ANY MACHINE. Now lets get the graphics awards for consoles out of the way this year. Ryse will clean up. Then next year I think it will be either Quantum Break or Halo 5. Both release next year. Man I don't know who will take it. Best console graphics for 2014 could be either 343i or Remedy. Both have amazing talent. And both games will release late in the year. Xbox One is on fire. Not only has it got the most impressive graphics so far in the face of adversity ( resolutiongate ) But after seeing the clips of Quantum Break gameplay ( looks like high quality CGI ) and knowing what 343i did with Halo 4, First party devs on Xbox One are making everyone look pretty stupid. |
No, Ryse looks good because it is on rails linear, has little going on, and is 900 p and less then 30 FPS.
Next year Uncharted, Infamous, Witcher 3 are more likely to be graphics king.
Shadow fall with its huge draw distance and vbaslty more particle effects and higher res and framerate are more impressive then Ryse. Nowhere in this article does it say it is more impressive then shadow fall, in fact it highlights several; short comings.

Digital Foundry dont say something is the best unless its technically the best.
Having played both SF clarity on textures, models and animations is clearly behind Ryse. Uncharted last gen never had people saying yea but its linear.
Rye looks significantly better in many areas over SF. Lighting, textures, models, environments ( yes you have to see Edge Of the World or The King levels. Even Collosium. ) Its amazing from start to finish. Amazing.
I dont thin a PS4 game will win next year either. I believe that first party Microsoft games are using the different architecture properly. Also theres the rumour that first party devs have the more updated dev its and software befroe 3rd parties. Which would help to explain resolutiongate.
Im saying it here and now like I did with Ryse. Quantum Break or Halo 5 will win best graphics next year.
