Well I guess Xboxers have the same issue with DS4.

I like DS4 a lot better than DS3, but the D-pad and sticks are in the wrong positions. I hate the analog stick where it is on DS4. Also the buttons aren't clicky enough. Still to cushiony or springy. But overall much better from Sony.

I've always found the 360 controller's buttons far too clicky.... There is no right answer

I only used the "One controller" once, but I still have nightmares about those bumpers (also the name is stupid)

The D-Pad is a little too clicky. The 360's was very clicky too and a little too slick for my liking. The DS4 controller fixed the DS3's issues, but the Xbone controller added some issues with the top bumpers and the triggers being right next to one another.

Slightly off topic but interesting for those with a ONE.

My spare controller just arrived, days later than the console and the games for some reason.

Anyhow, its a play and charge combo and I am pleased to report the battery pack is nice and neat, fitting inside the normal slot under the cover, so of course I have swapped it into my DAY ONE controller.

The cable is a massive 9ft in length and as with the 360 it charges while the console is switched off too.

Perfect.

Yeah, the mold is much better on the Xbox One controller. Feels very angled on the grips like a boomerang. The thumbsticks feel very good compared to the 360, its just the D-Pad is still not up to par with the PS4 but still very playable. I dont feel the obstruction from the 360 battery pack on my fingers when I wrap it around the grips. Feels good.

What issue?

Thats because you're used to Microsoft putting the D-Pad in a secondary position. If I am playing fighters clicky can be annoying on the D-Pad as well. It forms into a downward arrow so you can easily fillout your moveset. When you're playing fighters you have to drop your thumb down to input moves rather than comfortably lifting your fingers up into proper positioning to input as well. The DS4 and DS3 also prevented your fingers from sliding. Microsofts is much better now and it was still very usable for Killer Instinct, but it just presented a little issue in the beginning. I am over it now. :)

I was thinking more of the face buttons

I have always loved the feel of the dualshcok controller, but the 30 mins or so I got with the DS4 were amazing. Not long for me now!

Yeah. I definately think Sony fans are alot more happier with the One controller than the 360. And also that Xbox fans are alot more happier with the DS4 over DS3. Result? Everyone wins. :)

Pretty much. Those two top buttons are the only major issue though. I love the motor though for the trigger. I played shooters on the 360 and had my top four fingers on the buttons. The Xbox One controller makes your fingers slide off if you use all four and forces you to use two. Its a personal thing, but theres many people who play shooters like I do. It covers a lot of ground.

Two things that bother me about the Xbox One controller.

1. It's an Xbox One controller.

2. It's not a PS4 controller.

That doesn't count. ;)

The reason I am at odds slightly with the D Pad outside of the molding of the Dpad is the positioning of it which puts it in a secondary position. T

Dpad is a secondary part of gaming.  Sticks are now the primary movement outside of fighting games.  Anyways, it all comes down to preferences on which you prefer.

It might be a secondary part of gaming to you, but the nearly eight million people who bought street fighter iv last gen across platforms would beg to differ. The four million who bought Tekken 6 would beg to differ and the and the four million who bought the Mortal Kombat revival would beg to differ as well. Fighting is not dead. If you make a quality game the people will come. D pads and arcade sticks are essential to fighting gaming. If one sucks, you need to have the other and the original Xbox is the only one with the perfect "S" Controller for fighters. I don't know why Microsoft completely ignored that D-Pad mold when making the 360.

I highlighted something for you.  Now compare fighting games to the racing genre, action-adventure, and shooting etc
