The reason I am at odds slightly with the D Pad outside of the molding of the Dpad is the positioning of it which puts it in a secondary position. T

Dpad is a secondary part of gaming.  Sticks are now the primary movement outside of fighting games.  Anyways, it all comes down to preferences on which you prefer.

It might be a secondary part of gaming to you, but the nearly eight million people who bought street fighter iv last gen across platforms would beg to differ. The four million who bought Tekken 6 would beg to differ and the and the four million who bought the Mortal Kombat revival would beg to differ as well. Fighting is not dead. If you make a quality game the people will come. D pads and arcade sticks are essential to fighting gaming. If one sucks, you need to have the other and the original Xbox is the only one with the perfect "S" Controller for fighters. I don't know why Microsoft completely ignored that D-Pad mold when making the 360.

I highlighted something for you.  Now compare fighting games to the racing genre, action-adventure, and shooting etc
