So your plan to capture the mainstream Japanese market, is by associating the Xbox One with creepy middle aged otakus that want to talk to their virtual girlfriends via the Kinect.

Brilliant.

I didn't mention the mainstream Japanese market at all.  I'm talking about the same niche, yet economically active, consumers who kept the PSP going.

You think the PSP was kept alive because of otaku? You don't think it's mainstream in Japan?

lol. I liked it. Whats the name of this anime?

That's A Certain Magical Index.  The girl in the video became really popular, even though she wasn't a main character in the first anime.  She was the main of the second anime, A Certain Scientific Railgun.

How about a baseball game where a youngster rises through the ranks to win the Nippon Shiriizu for the underdog Lions, Tigers or Carp then steps onto the world stage. Advice from Matsui, Suzuki and Nomo helps them lead their new team to the World Series and so much more. Interaction with their understated bomshell of an interpreter, feuding agents, teammates, managers, media and fans could turn it into an extended english and cultural lesson as well. Very educational and an easy sell to an unsuspecting dad. Hell dad might play. Same with golf, tennis or football. Action sequences at the most famous venues in the world before they win both fabulous riches and the supermodel of their wildest dreams. Or maybe our hero will remember that delicate orchid Misaki who helped him though those first turbulent years in a foreign land. Just a second there I'm tearing up.... sniffle. Or it could be a heroine and her chauffer or massage therapist. Whatever.

Or buy a studio to make extended and interactive tours of American Universities. Or golf courses, the worlds museums or Buddhist shrines. Or a game where you are Buddha or head of Toyota whichever instills the most reverence. Not Sony though, obviously. Or just ad a canned coffee dispenser.

I got nothin

I'm going to be buying the mod that makes my box sound just like Lara or maybe Hal from 2001. Possibilities are endless and it's the obvious next big step imho. Maybe mid gen.

No, just no.

That is an interesting idea. Ad a personality to the box.

There are rumors they are working on a real Cortana (virtual living character in the Halo Series) as an a interface on their systems. Why not make one where you can adjust the personality and make it sassy like that.

Creative and fun, complected to though. Sounds like Milo again.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

That's some good stuff, there.  Especially the coffee addon.

Perhaps a package that lets you flirt with the Shinsengumi.  Rawr.

Really is that the best you can come up with?

Microsoft funds a sao mmo exclusive to the x1 as well as a shinegi no kyugen game.

The only way the Xbox will get anywhere in Japan is through Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest or maybe Kingdom Hearts

..there.. Now i will read the OP

Final Fantasy games sell more on Sony platforms.... Dragon Quest has low chances of appearing on a MS console and  Kingdom Hearts III will most likely bomb on the Xbox One.

Microsoft needs to bring some exclusive jrpgs like they did early with the 360 except this time stick with it throughout the gen. It would be cool if they bought a Japanese studio or two specifically to make Japanese games for the One could help quite a bit.
