The graphics didn't look like smash, it was a rip off in terms of gameplay, it might of played different but in all truth it played just like smash. obviously differences here and there but still. Look at all the reviews for the game, i bet 90% of every review compared it to smash brothers. They wouldn't have if it we'rent similar

Based off one single review that I pulled from Metacritic. Went to Metacritic, opened the first review, and it starts with this.
It’s clear from the offset that Playstation All Stars Battle Royal is not an original concept. Franchise favourites competing against each other in brawling melee combat is something companies like Nintendo have been doing (and doing well) since the days of the N64. This in turn has made it far too easy for far too many to dismiss Playstation All Stars as a ‘Smash Bros clone’. However, after just a few minutes of playing you will realise that such a dismissal would be a huge mistake. Look past the concept and you will find that Playstation All Stars is a different beast altogether.

Just looked at the next review text on Metacritic.
DO NOT call PS All-Stars a Smash Bros. knock off, it is actually anything but a copy or clone of Nintendo’s fabled fighter. SuperBot has taken the most basic premise of that series and crafted a full-featured fighter that delivers something beyond the casual experience and that crosses over into the competitive fighting realm.

Going to the next review yet again points out that it's very different from Super Smash Bros. I'm not even going to bother posting review after review, but you get the idea. The only people who continue stating it's a Smash Bros clone are those that haven't played it.
