W/O The vita TV numbers Vita would be down YoY in the holidays

Your thread shows Vita at 162k this year; 114k last year.

Vita TV sold ~ 42k according to Media Create.

162k - 42k = 120k.  120k > 114k.  That looks like it's up YoY to me.

(Even if you were talking about the first 3 weeks of the holiday period instead of just this week, Vita would still be higher this year with the Vita TV's 42k taken away, by about 4k.  I genuinely do not understand where you got "down YoY" from).

It makes very little sense for the Vita TV to affect this chart.

We're counting Wii Party U download cards as physical sales, despite not doing it it for 99% of other games (yep, still bitter about this).

It seems to be more like a product of whoever it is throwing together the numbers not caring a great deal anymore.

I said this earlier but Sony's projection of 3 million by the end of the calendar year is looking very very conservative. Between this week, NA week 2 and the European launch it's probably going to be somewhere in the area of 2.2-2.5 million with December still to come. Maybe this is one of those things where they give intentionally low-ball predictions to surprise stock holders. They were doing the same thing with the PS2 pretty consistently from 2009-2012 IIRC.

Proudest Platinums:
1. Gran Turismo 5
2. Persona 4 Arena
3. Wipeout HD
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
5. Super Street Fighter 4

my bad my bad, small mistake!!! I thought vita tv had more than 42k sales. Anyway your right its up YoY in both situations!

Its down YoY overall but there is a good chance of it beating YoY. It needs over 200k per week for the last 7 weeks! Its going to be hard for US as its down by alot. Vita TV will help tremendously and Europe seems to do very well
