What?? A 2/5 isn't broken! A 1/5 is broken. You gotta remember that a 5 star system is quite different from a 1-10 system. I see it this way: 0/5; broken like shit, 1/5; a bad game, 2/5; it's ok, 3/5; it's good, 4/5; it's REALLY good, 5/5 AMAGAAAAD!

40 % is not completely broken. 0 % would be completely broken. You know, if the game doesn't work at all. 

That said, gaming reviews are completely subjective. If that man feels the game is bad, he should give it a bad score. SImple as that. Just don't rely too much on reviews, because you will miss some games you would have really enjoyed. I stop caring about reviews a long time ago. I think Bioshock is shit and Duke Nukem Forever is nice. I also really like Final Fantasy XIII and I don't care about some reviews or something. I encourage you to do the same. Get Ryse. Have fun with it. But don't try to force some random folks on the internet to like it.

Firstly I did watch the review he posted and he very clearly claimed that the game got repetiative after a couple of hours and that the story was very throw away. 

If you were to pay full price for a game that gave you a couple of hours of genuine entertainment I think you would be more inclined to agree with a 2/5 being a fair review.

No this is my first account, I just thought it was funny that you said Sessler proffered Sony.

Never said he was a fanboy, I just said he prefers Sony. I watch him every E3, seems he does. Sorry if I think that.

Damn that's a long thread for 1 review that has been taken down before the end of first page....
what I don't understand is no matter how easy the game is how can it get boring to gruesomely kill 100s of enemies over and over... DMC might be more technical but to me it gets visually boring way faster... I don't really care fore complexe combo in those games I care about the result and especially what I see....
if I want complexe game play I play a chess game, or a puzzle game... Not a mindless hack'n slash personally

It's Crytek, what do you expect? They know how to do great visuals, but they don't know how to make a great games.

I think the prettiness will give it a metascore boost, but I expect it'll probably be high 60's even accounting for the looks.

Ryse is a technical demo for Xbox one. It looks beautiful. That's all. Also he gave Forza 5 a 5/5 or a 100.
