1. This is Nintendo. Took them 5 years to make Skyward Sword, and then when we finally got a release date, it was delayed by a year.

2. If they released Zelda in 2014, they would be short on big hitters for 2015.

3. That would be too awesome to be true.

Didnt they have alot of trouble figuring out what direction they wanted to take Skyward Sword? Also I believe they stated we wouldnt have to wait nearly as long this time and Nintendo has been announcing games much closer to release lately. 3D World, Tropical Freeze and Mario Kart were all officially revealed back in June and will all release within a year from that date. Plus they stated they could have shown it back at E3 but decided not to.

They would still have plenty of potential games for 2015. Paper Mario, Animal Crossing, Mario Party, Metroid, Kirby, Super Mario Galaxy 3, Nintendo Land 2, Star Fox, F-Zero

I'm prepared to bet we don't get a ground-up Wii U Zelda in 2014.

That is certainly a system selling list... Hopefully it will keep the wiiU competitive for a while!!!

I can guartee you right now pokemon will not come out next year at all (mainline games)

.Also why does everybody think SSB coming out so early? its only been in development for a year and like 3 maybe 4 months!

Pokemon has been almost a yearly series

1998-Red/Blue

1999-Yellow

2000-Gold/Silver

2001-Crystal

2003-Ruby/Sapphire

2004-FireRed/LeafGreen

2005-Emerald

2007-Diamond/Pearl

2009-Platinum

2010-HeartGold/SoulSilver

2011-Black/White

2012-Black2/White2

2013-X/Y

In the past 15 years, only 2002, 2006, 2008 didnt have a Pokemon game so there is a strong chance of 2014 having one as well.

Also there was a rumor a while ago about Smadh Bros releasing in May and Mario Kart/Smash were released back to back on Wii.

I knew somebody would post this, only reason some games after 1st pair of new gens came out the next year was because they were catching up. Post the years for japan to see wat i mean. Your using US years which isn't accurate anymore, ths is the first WW release so it will follow Japan's schedule!

Its definitely possible that it doesnt come out next. One other thing tho is every Nintendo console has had a Zelda game within 2 years of launch.

But anywho I want to see other peoples predictions so predict away

Ok Japan release dates

1996-Red/Green/Blue

2012-Black2/White2

2013-X/Y

12/17 years have had a Pokemon game. There is a good chance they will wait until 2015 but its not impossible for them to release it next year.

Monolith, Retro, and several EAD studios are all set to blow their loads in 2014, it will take longer than a year for them to reload and fire again. We might see another Tokyo EAD game in 2015 MAYBE, and of course there will be other 2015 releases we don't know of yet, but with 2014 already so loaded, they'd be better off pacing themselves and saving Zelda for later as a safeguard against a dry 2015.

The whole "one exclusive per month" idea is way too clean. You had to actually remove games from the 3DS lineup to make it work -- no Bravely Default?

I would peg Mario Golf for a January release since it was originally intended for release this year, but delayed. I think Nintendo will release Kirby in the last week of March in the West -- they like to have a strong release that week, and if they were planning on releasing it in January, I think they would've mentioned it in the latest NA- and EU-only Nintendo Direct.

Nintendo is keeping their cards close to their chest with 3DS games in development because they can afford to. I would guess that every currently announced 3DS title will be released in the first half of the year -- so I think I'd put Yoshi's Island and Layton vs Ace Attorney in April and May, respectively. Smash Bros is a different story. I think the Wii U version will be prioritized and will be released before the 3DS version -- Sakurai mentioned this as a possibility. So I'd say August/September for Wii U and October/November for 3DS.

Monster Hunter isn't confirmed yet, but I suppose a Holiday release is possible. A new Pokemon title is also very likely, though I wouldn't necessarily say Z, and I think August is too early.

I believe that Bayonetta 2 will be the first major Nintendo-published Wii U title after Mario Kart. I think Nintendo is aiming for the last week of March for Mario Kart, but they might miss it, having the game slip into April. Bayonetta would be May.

Yarn Yoshi and X over the summer sounds good, SMTxFE could be any time at all (could even be 2015), and Zelda U in 2014 is a fantastical suggestion (though not impossible).

And there are bound to be at least a half-dozen as-yet-unrevealed titles slated for 2014 release. In my opinion, Star Fox U is among them, taking the place of Zelda U.

While I don't really know how work is split up at those studios, I'm pretty sure it's possible to work on more than one game at once.  Also, it's possible that games might get delayed again.
