OMG this crap again. One would think that when talking about a games graphics you can see processors, storage type and memory ON THE IMAGE.

How a game looks visually is just that,  how it looks visually and nothing more. Wind Waker HD is one of the prettiest games I have seen and it runs on the WiiU. Its not about it being open world, modded to hell and back or whatever. Its about the image you are seeing on the screen which consists of the artstyle and presentation of the game in question. Its not about how much better whatever you are looking at could have run on much better hardware.

And as far as this thread is concerned, for now...DC is the most photorealistic looking game out there. These fabled things that they are always running on PCs. Show me something that is running on a PC... no better yet show me a GIF not some rezzed up 8k screen grab that could never actually run in game. Show me a GIF of this pack leading graphical photorealistic game on a PC and I will show you a GIF of DC that looks better.

Looks better, what we can see... not some immeasurable metric that only looks good on paper.

Hey, i'm the first guy to argue art style over tech, I reckon Muramasa and Kirby's Epic Yarn on Wii are still two of the best looking games I've ever seen.

But I've seen mods of Crysis running, and DC isn't as photorealistic.

You were saying? I mean lets be honest here.....

Around the Network

I see many people here and around the web praising driveclubs graphics. For me it's nothing special considering its a corridor racer too.Forza horizon is an open world series has at least 5 times the content and cars of this game and it handles great too.Did none hear news from the last expos driveclub was in that people didn't want to bother with it or if they did they got bored in like one minute and abandoned it?

Haha... corridor racer...

How low people will sink. And as for everything else you said... well, whatever makes you sleep better at night.

I think this is pretty hard to beat

I was saying Crysis modded on a high end PC looks more photorealistic than Drive Club, and I stand by that.

I am sorry but looking at those gifs... far from photorealistic. Never seen the inside of a car like that.

And this one?

I don't know about Crysis being modded looking more photorealistic than Driveclub seeing as how the game lacks in physically based rendering ...

You need more than cherry picked shots of a modded Crysis to be able to claim that it is technically superior to Driveclub. I often get the feeling that a lot of objects in Crysis reacts like plastic when lighting is applied to them hence Driveclub's advantage in being more consistent in it's shading model. What's more is that Driveclub also has a dynamic local reflection system in place so that reflections are applied to glossy and wet surfaces. Another thing about Driveclub is that it has higher detailed meshes too compared to Crysis. The particle system in Driveclub is also more impressive than Crysis.
